The transaction seemed simple enough. Tate Chesley, 33, of Anchorage sold his Dell laptop to Kyle Nonneman, a 20-year-old Portland man who snapped it up on eBay by posting the high bid. Nonneman e-mailed a check for $2,300. Chesley packed up the laptop and shipped it off to Portland. But Nonneman’s check bounced, Chesley later told federal agents. And, he said, Nonneman refused to settle the bill or return the computer. For days, Chesley called and e-mailed Nonneman. Nonneman didn’t respond. He hung up when Chesley called.

Some jackass did that to me in SF.

I could not touch him since he filed for BK 3 days after he got my money and 50 others that sell bought his laptops on eBay.

All eBay told me and the 50 or so people, sorry and that was it!

He took no less than 100k from a few buyers not to mention the $4500 from me and all eBay did was shut him down!?!?!?!!!!!

I called the guy up and had a few things to tell him, which I wont dare to say here.... buy you guys know where I'm going......

LOL I love this news clip. I think both sides got what they deserved: The stupid seller who spent more time and money on the plane ride than what he lost on the deal, and the scoundral buyer who lied about payment, and national security! I'm Canadian and i hate this guy for callin' it in... or maybe cuz he's a NPB lol.

Elgato, no problem I love helpin' the site, it's helped me a whole lot more so postin' a little news is no problem Wink. Talk to you all later Very Happy, hope more people enjoy it.

LOL, Thanks I needed that made me feel like maybe I have a few more marbles than I thought...lol But the sad part is... Ebay still gets publicity out of this and gets their name out there one way or the other...Oh well

yeah But in the case of eBay there IS such thing as bad publicity. Seller gets scammed on ebay Isn't a headline they want to hear lol. They'll be gettin' a bit more publicity in June... when CNBC airs that special PSU was talkin' about Very Happy.
