Like a dope I allowed a windows update and since then I keep getting the dreaded "You have performed an Illegal blah blah" I then loose the window and anything I was doing. I run Firefox and haven't had that problem since until now. Is there a way for me to find the last update and delete it? What can I do? If I restore to an earlier point will that take care of the problem? I sure would appreciate any help.
Rebecca

if you know the name of the update you might be able to uninstall it by going to control panel add/remove programs.

I'm not sure if you restore to an earlier point if it will fix it or not .............
but if you did try it, could you be any worse off than you are now ???

Second idea ................

if you go to the Microsoft Update page Link to MS Update Page
there s an option on the left side to review the updates you have installed.

It gives you the date each was installed, so you may be able to determine which updates have been applied and maybe find a way to uninstall one/some.

Thanks for the input BigFoot. I have been putting off doing a restore because I read it's hard on the puter and I've had to do it twice already. I did go to the Microsoft utility within Windows on my computer and it found a problem and fixed it. I'll go try to Microsoft Site now. Thanks.
