The lack of attention by the account holder makes me wonder if whoever hacked the account took off the real account holders email. Maybe they aren't getting the notices that they've been hacked. They might not even be able to log-in if everything has been changed.

That's a possibility for sure, however I did have 2 free throw-away accounts, assuming used by the scammer....and 1 'legit' account, belonging to an employee or associate of a 'real' media company - I think this one is legit, and may belong to the actual Paypal account owner.

good ideas. back in the days when i had one, they froze my account with $300 in it (because of their computer glitch). this stuff makes ya crazy.
