I'm not going to use Yahoo any more. I only put a few items on again and had three sales. One person paid promptly by PayPal. The other person who bought the other two has at least 23 bad feedback and is still buying. At least the E would suspend them after a few bad feedback. Until Yahoo starts policing their auctions a little bit I'm through selling there. I know it doesn't cost anything but I feel I am just wasting my time. Has anyone else had a problem or is it just me?

My nonpayer rate has been around 50% for most of the time I've
listed on Yahoo Auctions. Maybe a little worse.

I don't have as much problems listing on Yahoo Groups. Most of
the buyers usually follow through after reserving items.

Too many buyers use the "buy it now" button as a wish list.
They buy or bid on items and then decide what they actually want
to purchase.

I have had the same problem on Yahoo since I started around 4 years ago. It wasn't quite as bad but is getting worse. I am on enough sites and that I don't have time to list items that people buy and then don't pay for. I haven't had that much problems anywhere else.

Simply set your minimum buyer rating to 1. This eliminates most of the irresponsible buyers, who usually have no rating. I did this two weeks ago and I have yet to get a NPB.

I'm at about 25% NPB, so I just have 'that' issue as part of my process. I have a numpty currently who I've not had contact from - have tried several times....

Long story short, I tried the Yahoo suggestion of 'Neutral Rating' - getting them to 'see me'.

The numpty returned a neutral to me!! Needless to say, more likely than not, I'm going to get my first negative outa this fool!!

I just wait a week, contact for a second time, then relist and report...

I'm very glad that we don't have to chase fees - then...I'd 'go'. I'm very hesitant to change the rating - more than 60% of my successful sales have been to users with 0 feedback...I hate to shut the door on business, and I was a newbie once too... ----- I may go that route if it becomes a bigger nightmare!!

I agree. It's definitely not as bad as eBay, where you lose the listing
fee every time you have a NPB and where you have to fill out the
web form to get the FVF refunded.

i was getting to the point where actually being paid by a yahoo winning bidder was unusual...hel, i had one newbie whose invoice came back to me as "not a registered user"!


and dont think ebay suspends people fer bad feedback. i believe quite a few of us here have seen that seller with an 88% rating! my best friend recently axed ebay (on the phone) if they suspended people fer 3 NPB strikes anymore. their answer was "not necessarily..."
