Hi everyone,

Just wondering if Google Checkout acts like PayPal in that you can pay anyone with an email address? I'm not sure Google Checkout has this feature (yet) ...

Also, I've noticed some of the PayPal alternatives come and go and wondering what are the best you all like out there?

Also, is there a PayPal that will deal with adult oriented products?

Thanks

Googlecheckout has an e-mail invoice system now , Googlecheckout is not yet a Paypal killer but its been growing at astonishing rate and far more secure.

If you want an international alternative to Paypal then the only real choice is Money Bookers

Xcoin is reputable enough to partner with some big sites like Overstock and Online Auctions

If you want the freedom to sell what you want to , then E-Gold is the oldest and most reliable E-Gold, but understand its only as good as gold exchanger you use so only try ones E-Gold has on its site

Canada has an excellent reputable and regulated payment system called Hyperwallet, that can be used in North America but it has few members

PPPay is partners with EBid and is reputable , but European

ProPay is reputable but expensive

Alternatives
You may want to consider trying something like Netteller ,AuctionCheckout,Xoom something not on the Paypal model........there is a good merchant account I forget the name hmmm 2cos something like that

Ok I found it ,after Googlecheckout , consider these Alternatives to the Paypal model

http://www.2checkout.com/

http://www.neteller.com/

http://www.auctioncheckout.com/

For more of a Paypal model , I would say Moneybookers , Xcoin , Hyperwallet, pppay

E-Gold is unconventional but is the king of the gold/web money and the others are just to obscure to bother with

I dont advise Stormpay and Alertpay , bad

I've been using Google Checkout (GC) for about 6 months +-. It's nice if you can get people to use it. Not everyone will yet.

You can't just send money to anyone like with PP tho. The person receiving the money has to send you an "invoice" or have it set-up in a cart before you can "send".

GC does have a few things they need to work out to make it a bit more user friendly before it's going to be a great hit, but they do seem to be working on things.

Thanks for your input!

I would think Google Checkout would be at least what PayPal is now eventually ... any ideas on what it's going to have as far as features?

Also, Just wondering if we'll ever be able to connect any other invoicing system to say our Auctiva auction management software so that we can send Google Checkout invoices through Auctiva instead of PayPal invoices ... do you follow me?

Or is it that eBay would somehow block this? Would they even know? Thanks alot and anyone with more info on the features of Google Checkout once it launches please post info!

Thanks

You probably need to ask Auctiva about that, but if eBay doesn't allow the payment method, don't count on it being available at Auctiva. I would think they won't offer it, but I could be wrong.

Google launched last year (Fall?). I have been using it in my web store and have set it up on the auction site I'm listing on. I've had several takers on my store and I'm very pleased with it.

Hi lammergeiernet,

Thanks for your info so far ... just wondering if Money Bookers accepts payments from PayPal ... and it's hard to believe in this day and age (2007) there is still only one international payment alternative to PayPal ...

Google Checkout should clean up ... What do you think?

Thanks
