Looks like Yahoo auctions have been sold to the chinese... Be careful what you ask for.

I'm a dork! I already signed up at eCrater with AsilisArt! Laughing Now I have two! I wonder if I can change the second ID I just created? I think I like AsilisArt better than asilisa-art. Confused

ROFL - I'd send an email and inquire - at the bottom of most pages, there's the ability to contact the CS there....

That is exactly what I did on Yahoo - which is why I'm TWO vs. 2 there - Embarassed Rolling Eyes !!!

I can't get YSM to pull my auctions down - gonna be a long month!!! Confused

I'm reducing all of my Yahoo items today, then copying the text of the things I want to move to eCrater. Just going to fiddle with the settings on eCrater today. Thanks for the info, and for once being a dork like me Wink

I was told for years on Yahoo groups to keep quiet, my posts were deleted. Husshhh, husshh, they may get mad and close. This new lady took over, things will change. Nice, their idea was to shut us down and kick us out.
My biggest beef is the fact they splash it all over the homepage. Can't they give us a break and let us move some sales out?
Nice way to pay us back after all the clicks, search engine, key words. And thats what we get. Kicked out.
Im very bitter.

justgreat - I do hear ya...quite honestly, IMO - Yahoo was the only one that could have given ebaY a run for the money....

I'm just moving stuff to other places, and do have active bids! I honestly don't expect any more tho... Sad

Chin up - we'll get thru it!!

I've noticed several articles stating Microsoft is considering an acquisition of Yahoo again.

I wouldn't be shocked if this closing was related - perhaps Microsoft finally has plans to make a run at ebay and this closing is part of that plan (before the acquisition takes place).......

The good news for me - of the 976 active on Y, 4 have bids and 734 have already been duplicated to eCrater...So - only 238 to manage - some of which are duplicate of each other - so quantity change on eCrater.

The thinking process from auction site to store will 'hang' me more than the move of items! Rolling Eyes Embarassed cuz I'm so numpty at times!!!

The best news for me, the 238 that need to be looked at are low dollar items (books, magazines....) mostly. So - as long as they're hanging around in Yahoo for a while, it's all good.

My biggest unknown - for all the items that will NOT auto renew on the given date, will they 'disappear' or will they drop into not-sold? I sure hope the latter here - otherwise my audit efforts will need to be 'more hurried'. Rolling Eyes

I don't want to say goodbye... I never listed there.

I wish they would stay open to keep the nigerians there.... it was so easy. Now they'll probably attempt to infiltrate the others.. Well, we know that... they try.

AQ's security is 2nd to none that I've seen.

Remember Beckem??? ... he did his level best to convince us to post on Y! auctions... And just a short year later... ????

This is exactly why customer service should be JOB 1 and available to all. Along with having good programmers and script mods on the payroll.
