I do not know if people could run a site totally free. I charge almost lowest price on the street on my Auction site, just try to cover my expenses. I belive a free site will be die sooner then a low cost site, unless it catches a hugh internet traffic like YouTube. Nobody likes to run a business in debt a lot.

Why re-invent the wheel ??!!

Blujay and eCrater are both free/free and both have been doing a good job of getting sales for those that list with them.

Sure it's not eBay, but eBay isn't what it used to be either.

Ewaey is totally free too.Even if it sells. They have some ads and donations to help them stay open. Its a fun place to sell with all the extras you get there. Sales have been happening there. Check them out.
