PSU has over 8000 members. Only a few perhaps 15 -20 members post anything. 55% of that is all bashing and negativity! Get out of there and make UAF your new home!

Hmm. I thought PSU was about building up alt sites, not them competing against each other. As well as the UAF--doesn't that stand for UNITED Auctions Forum? If so, there shouldn't be competition.

I wish Alex could figure out what he wants, stick with it, and be honest. It would go a long way towards him being successful.

A couple of things I feel are necessary for success in the eCommerce/auction business:

- Humility. If you are small then don't pretend you're big. Announcing you're going to be the next eBay and are planning billboards on Times Square is kind of silly if you only have a couple of thousand listings. First learn to crawl before you walk. Being small is OK. There's always potential for growth when the time for it comes.
- Reliability and responsibility. Pick a business plan and stick with it - build confidence among your members. Don't switch from free to membership supported to free to final value fee supported to free to donation supported. Deciding to sell your site and then deciding not to go through with it is also a very good way to destroy the trust members have in you.
- Maturity. Don't act like a pubescent teenager. Shouting, threatening and attacking other people will not make you popular.
- Originality. Use your creativity and come up with something new and fresh. Copying eBay and other sites will get you nowhere - except in court charged with plagiarism.
- Scale. Don't use "we" if you are really "I". Don't call yourself a corporation if you haven't registered as such. Don't call your base of operations "headquarters" if you're running the site from your bedroom. Most people will see right through you and laugh at you. Which is painful.
- Friendship. Especially in this community based web 2.0 in which we do business making friends is better than making enemies.

You have noticed that the positive and negative comments all have positive wording and also negative but these are well written and do not offend your fellow member here.

Im now being called a dictator and even PSU's admin agrees that in order to have freedom of speech you the member have to be subjective to BASHING, HATE COMMENTS and ATTACKS, LIES and so on...

That is not true... PSU is a great site but its unfortunate that the bashing and confusion between freedom and personal attacks are well alive there.

There is something prohibited by the law. This is called DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER.

UAF gives you the opportunity to produce a positive experience to your fellow member even if it is a negative criticism.

UAF will not tolerate bashing and personal attacks like PSU does. That you will not see here. That is not freedom of speech. That is attacks on your person and character.

Remember! It has nothing to do with free to say whatever you want and to offend people and their work... There is a difference!

You can give a nice site's review to someone even by giving it a negative one. Being nice gives you alot more freedom than being a BASHER and a LIER.

Ewaey is not allowed to place any ads on PSU because the little of group of bashers that control the boards with the admins authorization will do everything they can to lie and try to discredit ewaey.com ! All I have to do is place an ad there and the bashers will come. The start bashing and PSU admin also participates! Isnt that an absurd?
PSU was created because of the hate for ebay.com. But they placed an ebay.com forum right on the frontpage on their forums!
Then a site like ewaey comes along and they do not give any space for it and to make things worst they bash it to the ground! Hypocrisy seems to be a leader there. Another bad part about it is that I placed an ad where they say I am allowed to and these bad members come inside my thread and start offending me and ewaey.com. Then the PSU admin says I am the one bashing....If you read the boards there you will see that I placed one thread about my site. All the other threads are bashing. Not from me...Not from ewaey.com But from these so called site owners that do not like to see what they see at ewaey.com!

I promise this to all ewaeyers! I will make sure UAF gets big and I will personally make sure that the truth about PSU comes out and that everyone one day will say that ewaey.com was subject of bashing and hate, lies and defamation of character.

All PSU is saying about ewaey is all a lie> Ewaey never bashed anyone. We are not dishonest and the bad part about this is that the truth is there for all to see.

Ewaey was never given a chance at PSU. Never!

The first I heard of ewaey involved another chat board now defunct, where the members were discussing the spam they had received. That was 2 years ago...

And he's still attempting to spam... By his marketing tactics mentioned previously.

And this is why his site is nowhere near the growth it should have had in the past 2 years.

The tragic thing is that apparently he cannot grasp why this has happened.
