500 invoices a day? that's great consider it's still slow season. and i'm not sure if this is really the best alternative out there.. almost every site claims that, including the new bonanzle.com. but i haven't heard any bad things about ecrater, so hope they make it big! |
It isnt just a claim. We were discussing here on how there was no way to determine the number of sales a site had so all we had were claims. Someone pointed out that we could just calculate sequencial invoice numbers. Here are the results which were posted earlier in this thread.
I know the numbers are not like eBay's but they are the best I have seen from the alternatives.
Rather than do a "single day" of statistics I went back through my BJ and eCrater history to see both my sales and purchases and I used the invoice numbers to give a broader view of what is happening OVERALL on both sites and not just for a member or 2 who might be outside of the norm.
This can not take into account which sales were actually completed so we'll have to assume the numbers are the same on both sites but it does give you an idea of what each site actually does in sales.

15 April (sale) Invoice Number 209787
17 July (purchase) Invoice number 220883
Total Invoices (Sales) 11,096
Average per day (94 days) 118
eCrater
10 May (sale) Invoice Number 208460
19 July (purchase) Invoice number 245356
Total Invoices (Sales) 36,896
Average per day (70 days) 527
This is factual data, not spin. Anyone can go into their own BJ or eCrater data (or both) and check to see if my numbers are wrong by seeing if there are any date/invoice discrepancies.
