So, what's new? Beats me.

Featured auctions will start to be feed to Google via Google Add Words this should start by Monday of next week. Once the final switch from Penny Over to Fixed price is complete the Fixed Price auctions only will be feed to Google.

We still have quite a bit of work to do to be able to feed to Google base (Froogle) as they require a Pay Now button at time of purchase. Which means a fully integrated payment system which would be either PayPal or Google Checkout. Again the only items that qualify according to Google Policies are the Fixed Price auctions.

As you have noticed, some our new site has been released.
This will be a continuous effort over days, weeks and even months.

New homepage still to come.

*Saved templates will be back shortly, and categories may be off until we've completed them into 4 levels.

We'll be keeping everyone update as much as possible.

Nothing, absolutely NOTHING is completely in place yet. Holy moley! This is what all of the excitement is about? From the impression given here by the OLA folks, today was some hot-shot promised date where everything would be unveiled. Still no Google feed, hehehe. Well, it's been since 2004 that it was promised, I suppose they want to take their time.

Someone said it hasn't been online ten years. What's the truth?

On the bottom of the current OLA homepage it states "copyright 1998-2008, all rights reserved". 1998 to 2008 = 10 years

Thanks! That's what I was looking for... I read and interview or commentary a few days ago. I think it was from 2005 or 06. Chris Fain called OLA a new site.

Posting and press release here at PSU from 2005. They had live auction back then! Nothing new. Also, read the hype, it could have been written today!

Hello
We just finished our live auction, that was a big success and brought in some serious funding through the sale of important antiques, cars and rare guns.

We are now working on some new and revolutionary auction formats, that are different from anything any other auction has ever done. These changes will put OnlineAuction.com on the map. They are designed to bring buyers and to encourage buyers to bid, but also will do so much more and also bring tons of excitement to our site. We can’t disclose just what these new innovations entail because ‘you know who’ will steal them in a heartbeat. We want to be the first in the market place with them just like we were the first in the market with our bulk lister back in 1998. Guess who came out with Turbo lister right behind us.

Get ready for innovation, excitement, and buyers. Our number 1 goal is to make you successful. We spend our time thinking about how this can be best accomplished.

and, after 10 years, they are just NOW getting a partial google feed (which sellers have to pay for @ $10 a pop), also, still signing up "founding" members. Another trip to Ireland in the works (after this round of upgrades). what a crock

Fain started it like 10 years ago, but the actual upgrade/new site happened two years ago.

OLA does a little bit of cosmetic work on it's auction site and those are the newest upgrades?!?! get out! the groupies over there are doing handstands...LOL LOL I just had to laugh! i am glad i didn't wait around for the upgrades that were requested two years ago. still no google feed, to many categories and the search engine is nothing to write home about.

same old same old OLA, gotta feel sorry for those people over there!

Just read the forum. NOPE NOT WORKING. OLA cheerleader explained that OLA is a new and busy site and that the techs have so much work to do with all of the new improvements they just can't get to it right now but will soon, in the future, yeah, right.
