Hi All,

I hope I'm in the right forum. I'm wanting to set up my own website however, most of what I read is GREEK to me. Yes, I'm one of those folks that is lucky to be able to boot up and search the web.

So, is it something that someone with no experience could do or should I just stay with my store on eCrater and Esty?

Yes it can be done. It is hard work and there is a learning curve. I have mine here through PSU. They were real helpful answering any questions I had. Check out the Ecommerce details on the left sidebar. There is a demo store set uo there where you can look at it and play around with it.

I had never done anything like this but I did it so anyone should be able to.

You can also check out Chshops.com...For $5 a month, they will set up and teach you to run your own website, with hosting.

These days you can establish a web presence much easier than in the past. As always, it depends on what you need and how much money you want to spend. If I were just starting out I would definitely consider someone like PSU.

You can also try http://www.vstore.ca
It's a free. From my experience being with them for over 4+ years the customer service is great. Check it out, you have nothing to lose.

I've had hosting for a few years now, but finally got off my butt and installed zen cart last night. (eCrater being down all day last week motivated me)

It was pretty easy....although I did stumble briefly for a moment.

Setting up a website is really easy. First, go buy a hosting account from 1and1.com. It costs less than $10 for the first two months and come with a FREE domain. After you do that you can PM me and I'll instruct you on what to do next.
