Newish seller from England

I've just started to sell items again on eBay UK, my previous attempts having been a miserable failure [in the meantime, a good friend of mine is selling a lot of my spare items for me on eBay UK] and I came across this site via the Auctiva community boards.

I hope I can get to learn a lot from here especially as I eventually want to open a anime and manga e-commerce store with a sideline in small electronic goods when I've learnt a lot more about e-commerce.

I rarely use ebay to sell my stuff unless it's during the online holiday shopping season and with the FB changes, I might not list there at all this year. Just too many ways a buyer can easily ruin my FB score.

Many here and at other seller related forums have turned to building and operating their own online stores and have slowly moved away form the excessive fees charged by ebay. It takes time, lot's of marketing and patience.

Good luck at ebayUK and always keep your eyes open for other, more economical ways to move your merchandise.
