Seems like all is not well in oooola land once again. It was brought to the attention of sellers just tonight that the promise of fixing the penny over format to a fixed price format may have not been implemented after all. After all the upgrades were to be completed that was to be the top priority so that you wouldn't have to look through 100's of pages to maybe find your listings. Well they said it was fixed but unless you have some truely unique good luck finding it. Seems like the nice new icon that says F for fixed price has a problem. They implanted a gif file "F" to make it appear as though your item is fixed price and in keeping with google standards, when actually its the same format "penny over". It appears they never changed it to fixed price just added an icon to make it appear as fixed price. This would also explain why google has not picked up any fixed price listings. Now this may be conjecture to some degree and some will say if that were so why doesn't it sell for 5.01 instead of 5.00. I have a better question though. Why aren't peoples listing showing up at the front of searches like they should be then? Maybe another sham job by ownership? Maybe they would like to come here and explain that to folks but I doubt that it will happen. If someone has any knowledge on the subject I am sure that fellow OLA members would like to hear an explanation of it.

I tried OLA, nearly signed on as a $200.00 member. Thankfully I didn't.

It seems to me the people at OLA, especially the ones who plunked down the $200.00 membership fee, should come together and seek legal advice.

Fain should refund the membership fees asap. He has not kept his promises and it is obvious that he never intended to. SCAM.

I was angry with OLA and their unkept promises, now I am just disgusted.

Now I understand why so many ex-OLA members are signing up at Atomic Mall. With Google, oodle, kaboodle, rss and other feeds, the stuff is getting out there and getting sold.

I really feel sorry for the members of the OLA site! There seems to be a lot of good sellers there, who just need some exposure. I have gotten over 150 page clicks in less than a week at Atomic Mall.

Mike, the owner, is really doing great things with the site and is very involved. No fees to list. I have almost 100 items in my store now and no investment, other than time. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

The "F" could also stand for a word used to describe how one feels when they realize they've paid a whole lot of money for a whole lot of nothing.

It is my opinion that maybe the sellers on this site should seek counsel for any remedy to this situation. The blog seems to have more than enough info to show the parties involved what to do.

Hello,
Sold more items in one week at Atomic Mall that I did the past few months on OLA. I would tell ALL sellers at OLA to RUN not walk to Atomic Mall and list all your items. Atomic Mall is EVERYTHING that OLA was SUPPOSE to be. The owner, Mike is a really great guy and really do great things with his site. If you do yourself one favor, it should be to try Atomic Mall. we did and LOVE it! Will NEVER sell at OLA again! The cheerleaders can have that site!

Don't forget Usenet. We're also very visible in the various forsale and marketplace news groups. Some people know these as "Google Groups", and they still drive a lot of traffic.

And the cheerleaders were out in force on Thur. night with the weekly radio show. It was just more of the "We are working on it" and "It will be fixed in 10 days" and "We rank above Ebay in Google searches". Of course the people on the radio show like MrMalibu and others were completely ignored by Dave on the subject of advertising on a national level. Mr. Fain was quoted as saying "The best advertising we can do is tell your neighbor, and his friends and people you work with. He also said that they need more money and that all the members should try and recruit more people and get them to buy founding memberships and then they would be able to do more. What a crock! He had better watch out because that soapbox that he has been standing on all these years is going to break.

Of course Metzy and Momo dominated that chat board so no one with a real concern or question could get a word in edge wise. Metzy wants a report button so things can't get out of control with people "bashing ola" Fain has plans to change the chats to include rooms for every category with members volunteering to moderate. O crud I just gagged and spit coffee all over my desk. We all know now that the report button will be worn out in the first week. They will have to hire 2 more people full time just to delete post after post from unhappy members. Better start selling those FM to pay for it people. Can you communism?

RSS feeds have been added to the featured items so they say. Are you kidding me! You have to pay ten bucks just to get a simple RSS feed that someone like Atomic Mall does as a basic service. I guess that if you recruit founding members you might be able to pay for a few of those a month.

Reliabid is supposed to start next week and they are supposed to look for a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT on Monday. OOOOOOOOOO!!!! Can't wait to see what big promise they won't keep this time.

As the show ended the usual fell to their knees and praised the saintliness of Fain with words of adoration. All in all a waste of air waves.

I just checked and my featured auction is not showing up on the first ten pages of Google.

Have you noticed that in the past week the number of Founding Member have increased to over 1,000. It was around 275 in February when all the promises were made - so he has collected about $140,000 more and the promises still haven't been kept.

Categories taking over 2 months is totally ridiculous. On one post this morning Metzy said positive attitudes get positive results - yes if you are a cheerleader getting preferential treatment. Can't prove it but was told by a good source that certain people got free FM.

I probably wouldn't count on finding it in the first 50 pages with them. I don't think I have ever been able to find something of mine from there in the first 10 pages. After the second or third you might as well forget it because any sane person just moves on unless you really have nothing to do with your time. A lot of the quality sellers are starting to exit stage right and when the real shopping season starts for Christmas there will be no quality things there, even great garage sale items.
