Hi To All,
My Husband and I have set up a New Auction Site yes I know theres a lot all ready we know we can not compete with the bigger Auction Sites we think the more Alternative Sites to Ebay the better for all. We have been up and running a few weeks with 14 registered users and 815 auctions this is rising daily below is just a bit about the Auction Site and what we offer.

This site has been set up with the understanding of all being equal.

We have acknowledged that people want another avenue to venture down for selling and buying.

Hopefully this site is the answer for all.

All normal listing is free and no re-listing fees.

We are offering a free shop with unlimited items.

We also offer a featured store for £25 per year also with unlimited items.

We have set the fees to a standard rate of which sellers and shop owners will be happy.

TThere are no gimmicks or freebies to intice you what you see in the fees sections are the only things you pay for the rest is free.

This site is friendly and we will try to help everyone to the best of our abilities.

This site is also 100% ssl certified.

There is also the forum which is open where help will be available to users and also just to have chat and a bit of fun.

Off to a nice start with PHPProBid. Login and register pages secured, well done. Free to list, stores free to 50,000 items, enhancement fees, FVF 5%-2.2% Fees. I was amused that your FAQ page said "All questions will be answered in the forum". A couple things - the banner at the top is advertising the forums, but the link doesn't appear to go there. A Forum button with the rest at the top could be helpful. I didn't realize right away that the walking man is a link to the forum. You own okbidnow.com as that is where your forum is. Why not have that domain as your auction site as well? I would expect a .com to do better than a .net.

Thank You for looking at our site to answer your few questions yes we are putting a link to the forum at the top the FAQ page that will be re done better as well.
okbid.com if people type that in it will take them to the main page we are having it transferred over from .net to .com we did have the web hosting with an American Company but have now transferred to a UK web hosting. Thank you for your advice we do take on board any advice we are given thats why I joined this forum. Thank you for taking the time to look at our site Lynik.

Hi To All,
Just a quick update since I joined PSU on Wednesday 8th October we have now gone from 14 registered users to 17 registered and from 815 Auctions we now have 964 with Six sales on the Site Yesterday.
All the points that Purple-Reading -Giraffe raised on the previous post are being addressed .. with a better FAQ page and a Forum button all these are in the process of being put into place.
Once again thanks to Purple- Reading- Giraffe for some great advice.
All so Thank You to Every one who has looked at our Site some of whom have joined us. Very Happy

Just a Quick update we have only been up and running a few weeks but here is our latest Sats 20 registered users
1161 live auctions
0 live wanted ads
3 online users

purple_reading_giraffe: We now have a Forum button and I,m still working on the FAQ Page .. I think you will agree for the time we have been active it has done well.Thank You again for that Advice .
This is due to some of our Members who have done a great job advertising ... to them we say a BIG WELL DONE ... with out you this would not have been possible .. you all deserve a huge THANKS Very Happy

All i can say is thatthe site is really cool,
I have been a member from day 1 and have about 500 items in my store at the moment.
I hope to have over 1000 by next week.
The site is really easy to navigate and there is allways someone on hand if you run into any problems.

okbid now is an excelent example of what an auction site should be all about.
Free to list, very low FVF's, Very easy to navigate, 110% dedicated staff who are allways glad to help you out.
You allways get emails saying whats happening with the site.
Forums are fantastic and the members seem to be growing at a steady pace.

Hi Every One, This is a different kind of Plug its not to plug okbidnow.net but to plug our Sellers and Buyers ... I really do not care how Corny this sounds we have the best Sellers and Buyers ... Every one one of them has worked Very Very Hard not only Advertising the Site but all so Listing all their great things they have.
This is really a Thank You to them we Appreciate all their hard work and Support with out you this Site would not be Growing like it is.

I am currently doing a promotion to boost my sales and to help okbidnow to get more members so, From now untill 25th December 2008 if any powersellers unite register on okbidnow and buy a Fridge Magnet off me you will also get a free Keyring of your choice.
In order to claim your free Keyring, just mention you saw this promotion on powersellers Unite.
If you don't mention powersellers Unite then you will be charged the full amount.

Just a little bit about my items now.
We aren't like some sellers you get on ebay selling magnets and keyrings whereby they sell magnets and keyrings of stars looking directly at the camera NO! We have the stars in action too. We don't even just sell the current stars of today. We have the likes of George and Mildred from Yesteryear right up to the current stars of today.
We have tons of other images such as Animals, Weather, Scenes, you name, we have probably got it.

So you see, we have a huge variety

Hi To All, We have opened a Store on okbidnow this store is being enabled to help raise funds to enable the store to expand and develope more.
All profits will go towards providing a better service to all sellers and buyers enabling them to have a hassle free environment on line.
Also please note that we will also donate 10% to the charity that will be balloted in the forum , we want to give something back to so many deserving Charities.
We hope to pick Four Charities and have them alternating every Three or Four Months giving each Charity a fair chance.
