Hello to all I am new to this site. I have known you were here, and have been really glad that you are here, just never felt like joining until tonight.
I was poking around here last night for some alternatives to ebay, since their fees have gone so high, and they have changed policies to make sellers look like sitting ducks.

I kind of feel like something wounded and knew the place to come to get out of the storm was here.

I have been a member of ebay since 1998, I only started selling on there a few years ago, never ever had a problem, not one in over 1111 transactions, until recently.

I mostly sell rather expensive collectible scarves, and it has been a way to keep my collection going while also culling out some pieces I don't wear anymore.

I sold an item recently, declared it pre-owned, good conditon, and shipped it out within two days to Belgium International express it arrived in about three days to the customs there, buyer waited for almost a full month to pick it up because she did not want to pay those high customs fees, told me I should have declared it a gift. Now that she has it, evidently she has lost interest in owning it, or the economy has changed her mind, and is now filing a SNAD dispute with me through Paypal.

I took excellent pictures, as I always do, she is saying that the item is too used when in fact it is not. It has been a whole month since the end of the transaction alot has happened in my life since selling it in the first place, including the fact that due to the economy I had an incredible amount of non sales like a lot of other people. and I am just not in the position to shell out to this buyer who is also a reseller a refund.
Thanks for listening....

Wasn't Ruby Lane was it? I thought I saw a few on there the other day, when I listed an Anne Klein and a Vera at my store.

No it was actually Bonazle. I will check Ruby Lane but I think they are fixed price, and I have found that it kind of works better if it is a bid type system, as you never know when you are holding some elses grail scarf.

Sorry for the delay in welcoming you dragonfly and also glad meztymom let me know what that thing was behind your user name here Embarassed

Like many of us, we're trying out several different small alternatives to find the one, two or three which suit or online selling needs.

Good luck and thanks for joining the PSU forums Very Happy
