Hi guys.
I'm not supposed to post to these
'alternative gathering of the feeBay refugee/sellers' type sites/threads that want your business.
I can't say I blame them for trying to get a 'commission' off YOUR
sales by placing your wares on THEIR computers/servers and doing it like
THEY want you to 'do it'.

I think I understand (or maybe not) that many of you have high
hopes and expectations that the 'consumers' will follow suit?
Like they did with feeBay in it's hey days...
and actually come to these 'alternate sites', to make a purchase?
(Actually that is occurring in specialty sites, like gun parts etc...)

I just wanted to point out that the these consumers are NOW using the major search engines to find those
items they really want and can't get on 'yesteryear feeBay clones'...

Meaning... that IF you open your own websites, and promote them.
You just might find that the consumers will find you
and BUY from you from your sites...
(Putting YOU, back in charge of your business)...

Remember the BUYERS have been displaced too
by all these crazy changes JD has made to the worlds largest flee market.

Where are THEY going to find you?

My guess is Google, MSN, AOL and Yahoo search engines.
If your listed with WEBSITES of your own.
They will FIND you and GET what they want,
with-out having to sign up/log in, or be a 'part' of yet
another supposed 'community' of sellers/buyers.

I had more to add, but...

I'll go back to 'shut up' mode and see the responses.

In other words.

Some wont 'try' to learn how to 'do it' on their own?

I think I understand that.

BUT...
My mantra is to 'TRY' and let you guys know.

YOU can do it.

AND to let you also know...
If you do. You will be better off.

On the other hand, I guess I should try to understand
those who WON'T do it as maybe they feel they can't?

OK

I just want you to know this.

You can.

AND let me just say this.

How do you 'find stuff' on the www?

Hint....
The NEW household word seems to be:

Google it.

I really do want to be supportive of other sellers.

GUYS... it's YOUR WEBsite that gets you placed
HIGH on the www...

NOT another 'site'...
that has many ID's of 'sellers'.
(Who are NOT disclosed as 'buyers' L@@K to buy)

It's over... The consumer understands this.
(or most do)...

You can't SELL a lot these days
on the www, being x....Y
on 'alt' sites or feeBay...

Why do these 'alt' sites want to hide your identity?

Do YOU buy online, from people who hide who they are?
I don't.

That's WHY consumers said: forget it.
(eBay)

Get it?

U know what?
This whole JD policy 'disruptive innovation' was right on.

THEY wanted a thinning of the herd.

They couldn't justify the expense
to do CS on a 1.99 item for SNAD or INR.

The problem for them is.
THEY created this 'Be safe on eBay and PP is the WAY' BS to begin with.
It backfired them, they already KNEW
the site was over-run with FRAUD because THEY refused
to STOP the BS as THEY profited from it...
(Multiple ID's for ONE person, seller or buyer... IS bull sh*t
and a catalyst to FRAUD and miss-use)... FACT

eBay says:
'WE will guarantee this or 'that' mantra.
BPP, SPP.. You are protected on feeBay
IF you buy here.'
WAS ALL BS.

The place was a fraud haven from day one and
the newbies to the www didn't know that.
eBay reacted, with the mantra above...
and they lost.

Protection? Protection from what?
BUYING on eBay? ha ha ha
(The BUYERS figured this out a few years ago, peeps)

They caused it, and they (ebayPPFraud) capitalized on it at the same time...

They were wrong and WILL be held accountable
in one form or another.

So go ahead...
Place your wares on another:
'we want everyone to come to our computer site
and tell you how to sell'.. place.

Personally, I'd rather get the goods, load them UP and
go to the flea market before I have yet another site TELL ME
how to make a living online.

Well not really...

I'd TELL you all... GET A WEBSITE.

PS
Why do you not post this in EVERY other sites threads... why do you ONLY post this in the bonanzle thread? Why is BN personally offensive to you?

I don't have time to do that.
I'm NOT against these alternatives.
If that's all some of you can do
is fill your HTML to these 'other' sites', THEN fine...

Here: AM sux too. OK?

I'm just saying...

GET a site UP and point YOUR customers to it.

Don't be scared. YOU can do it.

AND unless your just another drop shipper.
You will do well.

That's all I'm saying.
That... and DON'T get all caught up in
a NEW 'community' somewhere else BS.

No wonder us who know, don't post here too
much anymore.

WHAT? You want US to do it for you
or create a new flea market?

Note: Google isn't buying it ether.
(To open UP a market for those who refuse to see)..
I wonder why?

L@@K
I'm NOT saying don't do the B
or the AM...

I'm saying...
As YOU do this.

Get a site going.

We know that option is available but we choose not to do it just like you choose to open your own website. If it is so great, then why do you want everyone else doing it and giving you even more competition?

Hey.

It's not about competition.

Competition is GREAT.

It's about getting some of you people who STILL
think 'someone else will do it for you'.

To UNDERSTAND
no one else will.

Are you people serious?
YOU really want to pay 'someone else' to do it for you? On these NEW feeBay clone sites?

OMG.

No wonder many of us are doing so well,
on the WWW.

Let me clarify something RIGHT now.

On YOUR www

The 'competition' CAN'T put you out of business,
using multiple ID's or their 'buddies' ... to do so.

Trust me.
I know of what I speak.

So that raises the Q?

How on these so called 'alternate sites' will you guys
protect yourselves from that?

I don't think anyone's pissed. You're just wrong and you have a tendency to tell people what they should do, which is exactly what you claim various auction sites do. Everyone has different needs. What's right for you is not necessarily right for everyone else. I don't know if you're aware of it or not, but, when others disagree with you your tone becomes very condescending. If you want people to listen to you, which you apparently do, you might try toning it down a bit. That's my advice to you whether you asked for it or not. You don't have to take it, but it's clear that your attitude gets in the way of your message, so, you might at least want to think about modifying your approach.

Have a good night Wink

Canadian, these were moved from another thread because they were off topic. Admin probably named it a rant, because taken all together, that is what they look like.

And I am not upset at all. XPP - this is your opinion and I have my opinion. Fortunately, I don't have a need to make yours mine, so it doesn't upset me to let you have yours.

Enjoy your own site! I am going to enjoy doing business my way.

I love America! We can all do what we want to do!

Wow.. I got my own rant thread. OK then. Very Happy

Here's one more rant:

If I'm not mistaken, many of you feel you where pushed off eBay.
As JD and company made sure you would leave
with the polices they enacted this year.

Is that a fair assessment?

They made you feel not welcome anymore.
When you spoke up on their own boards,
they sent in the LieWorld contractors to run you off.
They called you people 'noise'.
They said they didn't want the 'flea market crowd' anymore.
Meg said you guys where 'clutter'. (Remember the SIS fiasco?)
Hell in Australia, the head of PP made a statement comparing
those who didn't use PP as drug dealers/users. (I'm paraphrasing here)...

Yet I bet most of you are STILL paying eBay for
the abuse they handed out to you.
The abuse that harmed your businesses
and made you seek alternatives to sell your wares
in the first place.

So, how many of you continue to accept PayPal?

From what I've seen, many of you still do.

You where kicked to the curb, kicked in the teeth,
told you were NOT they type of sellers eBay wants anymore.
They said adapt or die.
Right now as I post, some of their LieWorld contractors
are over there calling the few sellers left, criminals, because they don't want to use PayPal.

Yet most of you still support the company with your dollars,
by continuing to feed the only mechanism
eBay has left that's keeping them alive?

How ironic is that? Rolling Eyes

I really do hope you guys do well on these alternates
and don't forget to pay your fees with PayPal, an eBay company. ROFLMAO

I guess if we were all millionaires we could do that xpp. Truth is, most of us are hungry enough right now without turning down sales from those less informed. I think most of us are offering GCO, at least they should be in my opinion, and promoting the Hell out of it as we can.

I don't know your financial situation, but if you have watched the news lately, you should get a pretty good picture of the shape the rest of us are in. Most who sell on feebay or accept fraudpal do it out of neccessity. My kids don't want to hear there's no dinner tonight, because MOMMY is hard-headed and refuses to accept funds offered from a sale through fraudpal.

The monster feebay/fraudpal was not created overnight, nor will it be destroyed overnight. However, most ex-feebay sellers were destroyed overnight, so you do what you have to do. While your watching those Newscasts, you might also notice there are no JOBS either. I think that just how we built feebay, (hard work and word of mouth), is also how we will dismantle feebay. Until then, I GOTTA EAT MAN!!!!!!!
