I am a new guy on the forum, but have been lurking around for a while trying to learn as much as I can. I to have been a victim of Ebay, but that is another story.

I have a question about some software that I have. I have about 150 copies of Windows XP Pro Dell version plus the restore discs for Dell Optiplex computers. They came with the computers at work. I do know that you do not receive the discs from Dell unless you purchase them. I was thinking about listing them on Bonanzle or Ebid, but not sure of the ethics invloved. They do not have a COA with them. They are for recovering your PC after it has crashed and I am sure there are several people out there that could use these to fix their PC. I know Ebay has a deal with Microsoft and will not allow this type of a sell. What's your opinion on this??? Question Question

If you are selling them just as "recovery disks" you should be fine. Lot of people sell them that way.

Be Careful if they do not have the COA or they are already registered to a system already, you may want to contact MS and find out, better safe than sorry. They see you selling and if something is wrong your toast LOL.

IMO if these are for a certain PC, and not for any pc. then it should be ok.

b/c if these are for a certain p/c only and these pcs came from the factory with the disc to begin with they should be entitled to a disc....but if these are for ANY pc I see a problem there. of course in todays society where these large corporation have found loopholes whereby you no longer own but RENT .. well...
