SEO URLs - Useful??

Are SEO URLs useful for searc engines ranking? Currently my SEO URLs is causing some interference in my website (build on oscommerce). So have turn it off temporarily.

Wonder if it is fesiable for me to turn on again (for search ranking purpose). Thanks

Yes, SEO URLs are useful for higher rank in search engines. What kind of interference are you having? My website is also oscommerce.

These are some of the problems I have at times:
1) currency convertor not working
2) problems navigating around the site (from page to page)
