hi:Everyone
I tried to sell on many alternative websites(Webidz.com,Bonanzle.com,and ola.com ) to ebay, and listed many oil paintings for sale, but i am disappointed for there are even very few views.I donn't there will be much sales by little traffic.
Maybe the auction sites are not good for selling artworks. Just wondering how are your guys doing there? Thanks very much for any suggestions!
James

Needless to say the ART Market is very DOWN right now. If you are selling 'Listed Artist' Paintings, I would alwasy try some of the larger and more established houses like Sotheby's, etc. If you are selling your own works, you might want to look at Artelino.com, Etsy.com., or Start you own Website to display your items.

My ART sales are flat at this time, unless of course I want to give them away. JMO

Perhaps you could find more of a niche site for your type of product.
Most of these small alternatives will not have the traffic ebay does though there might be a few arts-type sites which offer what you need...BUYER traffic.

Here's a list of niche type sites from kenzy.com:

Good luck!!

try to find blogs, discussion forums, communities etc for art enthussiasts, join them. they are not selling sites but for sure, you'll find many potential customers there.

I agree with everyone, as my sales have all but died also. I did look at the sites you suggested Ldrane, but I think the Artelino.com is not what I believe the OP was seeking. Their home page states:

Welcome! - artelino sells Japanese art prints from all periods, contemporary Chinese prints, Tibetan thangkas, metal statues and traditional carpets from Nepal/Tibet in art auctions or direct

However, they do also sell consignements, but state that you have to send your piece to them.

artelino is not an auction platform where you upload your images and enter your descriptions and where the seller has to handle payment and shipping himself. We rather keep to the traditional model of an auction house. You must send the art objects to us. We are responsible for correct descriptions, good images, payment transactions and shipping. And if we are successful, you pay us a commission

Thank you for the leads though, and I will continue looking for niche sites.
