There is NO nonsense on that site since october 2005, just the opposite indeed. Are you people really that in denial. Glad then you are not there as you do not deserve such a great site, a force in 2006, yes yes.
You then do not know what an auction site should be, bidville has and is accomplishing that feat, make no mistake about it, it is there and it is real.

view it: fine, you choose to see it through rose colored glasses and that is certainly your choice and option. I choose to deal in facts. Just like any other auction site, there is good and bad, but to deny the bad is to be foolish.

I'm sure that honestly admitting the problems with the misrepresentations on fact would not only be healthy for anyone looking at Bidville, but would indeed make them a better member if they chose to be one.

If you're in a boat that is beautifully crafted but whose engine is prone to problems, do you concentrate on it's beauty or do you concentrate on the engine issues?

Dead end. When you go to the grocery store do you buy a brand new automobile there, along with a loaf of bread.
Do you check everything an every page in a newspaper before you buy a copy, or place a classified ad. What you have said is not presently relevant to selling on bidville and paying no listing fee. You are beating around an old dead bush, while sporting very dark sunglasses.

That is the fundamental difference between you and I.

Whereas I prefer to invest time and effort into companies that I would financially back because they are doing what is necessary to be successful vs. not investing time and effort into a company that denies it's own realities and facts.

I've never been to BidVille (that I can recall) and have no vested interest one way or the other ... but I'd like to make a candid observation.

First of all ... the threads aren't just on BidVille ... they are listed on the left margin as amongst the most recently active, so any and all PSU members have their attention drawn to the thread as being "active."

Now ... this is just a personal observation, so please don't throw anything ....

I'm all for folks working hard to overcome adversity. I'm all for letting bygones be bygones.

I just wanted to point out that those of you who are posting in defense of Bidville are actually flaming the fire and keeping the negative aspects of Bidville on the headlines of the left margin for all to see ... for a longer period of time, thus ensuring maximum exposure for the negative aspect.

There's nothing anyone can say to change some folk's minds, so I'm curious why it's so important to do it when the outcome is exactly the opposite?

I don't know any of you personally. But reading these antics doesn't inspire confidence in Bidville.

Just thought I'd let you know from the outside looking in that you're not helping yourselves by jumping to the defense everytime someone posts something negative about Bidville.

If it was left alone, unchallenged, it would die a quiet death and quickly fall "below the fold" of the front page.

There's talk of truth, of betrayal, banned people, RahRah people and all kinds of people in between, changes, faith, blind faith, have faith, keep the faith ... and the struggle to move on.

Just wondering why it works out that way.

It happened that way on Overstock, too, on a different scale.

Not saying one side is right and the other is wrong ... I'm one of the banned on Overstock, so I know what it feels like.

Everything I say and have said here about Bidville is true, commencing from october 1, 2005. It started to change and is a whole new ballgame. The non-relevant old facts and bashes have zero to do with today.
I will defend what is right always. What would Roy do? exactly what I am doing. I am talking about the CURRENT site, not their monies or who runs it, it is not a newspaper, nor a grocery store. Some of you people still have a lot to learn, but then again only 10% really learn.

Well, by all means be sure to stock up on enhancement credits while you can, then Laughing They'll probably continue selling them until all site contracts have expired at which time BV will disappear along with your credits and the hard-earned dollars you paid for them. And be sure to get in on the latest pump and dump stock games in the Sellers forum if you really want a good reaming Wink

Just because a person was not smart and now shows it in their dumb posts leads to a dim view. 2 peas in a pod, silly, childish and all wrong.
Go back and moo, people like you just do not belong here.

Rolling Eyes WOW -- I'm so impressed by your keen intellect, sharp wit, the
articulate way you have of expressing yourself, and your obviously
discriminating taste in online auction venues.

Why I bet you'd be a shoe in for a top seller at, oh, SnappyBids.com

Or maybe BidMonkey!

Dimview,

I'm just dying to post to your thread elsewhere, but my access is being tampered with and I'm unable to log in successfully. Will you be discussing the decrease in BVs listing numbers at this site?

I seriously doubt Dimview will be returning, and he won't be missed. Cuff, why don't YOU discuss this yourself if you have something to say about it. I would reccommend not posting if you're here just to peeve people off, but I can't control why or what you post. Dim liked to get people angry, and that bothered me that his intent seemed to disrupt this community more than prove a valid point about Bidville. Others have honestly and politely criticised Bidville and I respect that.

By the way, Bidville's traffic numbers look pretty DAMN good at Alexa. I've been monitoring them for a while now. Before, they were declining in rank, but with the recent update they are back on the rise, so I really think Sylvia is right when she says that they are legitimately turning things around.

I hope they make a real go of things.
