Hi Quilts, How does one go about finding those to submit?? Smile Sorry, probably sounds like a dumb question, but I'm fairly new to this. Sad

You basicly have to create your own datafeed in a csv file.

I thought you had to submit a datafeed in a .txt format to get on Froogle? I created one in excell and then tried to save it at a text file, but it took away all the tabs and totally messed up my "one item per line" requirement.

Any ideas why my text file is doing this?

GoGuides says they charge a fee of $69.95. Is that correct? Or did I miss something?

I can appreciate the time it took to find and post all of the submit links for all of those search engines but it must be remembered that some search engines will rank you higher if they find you organically.

As for onpage optimization, make correct use of heading tags (H1 through H6), title tags, emphasis tags, anchor text etc. Also remember that onpage SEO is a small part of the SEO equasion, the most important is off-page SEO. How many and which sites link to your page. I may go into this more deeply in it's own topic but it depends on my time constraints.

One thing I do for each site I launch whether it is mine or one I have created for someone else.

I use a free tool called GSiteCrawler. It can be found here and will help create a sitemap for Google and also an URL List for Yahoo.
http://gsitecrawler.com/

Then I submit the Google Sitemap by following the directions there at:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/

You can submit your Yahoo URL List here under Submit Site Feed:
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

Both work quite well at getting pages on your site indexed, Yahoo is quicker at getting this done. It can take up to 9 months for ost of your pages to get indexed. You will see both site crawling immediately and on a regular basis without seeing pages showing up in their indexes... this is normal.
