Can the Bidville experts please chime in and help me understand how the Bidville Browse Auctions screens order auctions for display.

I have auctions ending over the next 7 days, beginning with a few minutes from the time of this note.

However, none of my items are showing on the first page of listings, even with an upgrade to a gallery item.

It looks to me as though the listings are grouped by seller and/or item id.

Welcome to PSU and thank you for posting your question here!

Sorry I'm not able to assist you on this particular question oldtopodepot!

BV has their own rep who appears here from time-to-time but we never know exactly when Embarassed

Another poster here (angelsolutions) knows a bit more about how BV works than most of us and hopefully she can answer your question soon...

Just keep checking back with us~~

Thank you elgato.

Further study leads me to believe the default order of the auction browse page is ascending by listing start date.

If this is, in fact, the ordering, I'd say it's rather surprising, as I'm rather used to seeing auctions listed by earliest end time, or ascending by time remaining.

This also leads to odd ordering if auctions of differing lengths are created. you can see this if you browse down 5 or six pages and notice that the listings oscillate between a few hours to completion and a few days, as I interleaved creation of listings with 5 and 7 day durations.

Even selecting ending soon does not yield a list sorted ascending on time remaining in the auction.

Thanks for clearing that up with me oldtopodepot!

I'd always kind of wondered why I could never locate my stuff over there LOL--Too many "non related" items among the cats I was using Shocked

I've just recently quit listing my products at BV due to poor/no sales--Even during the holiday shopping season!

A quick look at Bidville a few minutes ago indicated they have fixed the auction browse ordering issue, my listings are displaying sequenced by time left in auction, in ascending order. So, auctions ending soonest display first.

Kudos and thanks to the Bidville staff for the quick fix !
