If you have any suggestions or features you want in a auction site please list them here. We need to share our ideas to help improve the other auction sites so they can complete with eBay.

here are my 2 cents
I have heard from many people with over 98% feedback with 1000+ transactions move to other auction sites just to start all over again.

It would be great to come up with a feature where you can import your ebay rating to another online auction site.

oke, this is not a suggestion but i want to share this with you all.
we at 52marketplace have designed our site with the seller in our mind and came up with something nobody else has.
If you have placed an item on the site you are on top of the list. you have got the most exposure because you are on the first page.
after a few days you can be on page 12.
not many people are looking on page 12 so we have created the possibility to place your ad on top of the list again as often as you like. we think that you the "seller" would like that, having your ad on the first page for maximum exposure. oke this is not a free feature but we think it will help you sell.

About Importing Feedback...

We have that option on eBuysUSA.com

You can import your feedback URL, username & rating into our database
and it displays right under your eBuysUSA feedback. Buyers Click on it and it takes them to your ebay feedback in a new window....

We have many other neat Seller Features that othe sites do not have.
it's worth while to check out the site http://eBuysUSA.com/cgi-bin/auction.pl and see how many of you X-eBay sellers are using our features.

Feedback from all other on-line auction sites (including eBay) can easily be imported by going here:

http://www.feedbacksite.com/

registration is required but it's fast and very easy.

(make sure you use your ebay or whatever user name)

Okay -

I have read and will post a link to FeedBack Check on my site - I also have Sniper Bidder Block - lots of FREE Stuff, Links, Message Boards, A COPYRIGHTED Feature called THE VISUAL AUCTION STUDIO which EBAY and alot of other sites do not have, it is a pretty cool little feature to offer.

I am working to make this work for everyone.

I don't like feedback at all. Far too much attention is focused on feedback. on ebay, your feedback can make or break you, and you are at the mercy of anyone leaving it for you.(I have 100% on feebay, but I know when I get that first one, it will turn buyers off as long is it's on the 1st page).

I think a new auction site shouldn't mention anything about ebay. why hype up the competition? I hate how ioffer mentions ebay all the time.

Feedback is by far the worse system you can use. Has anyone not learn from ebay and its pathetic feedback system? I suggest a system that monitors both buyers and sellers activity. Humans will lie and can easily hurt a seller or buyer reputation.

would you like to receive a textmessage on your mobile that tells you somebody has placed a bid on your item or when you are bidding on something a message that you have been outbid ?
this can be made possible only it will cost money. aproxx. 50 cent for each message received.

I think there are applications out there that can do this. I think its a great idea and would like to integrate this sort of service w/OSAN. Do you have any further details?

PostPosted: Mon Feb 28, 2005 5:24 pm   Post subject:  Re: What features do you wish auction sites should have? #12  Back to top

we are currently talking with specialised companys to implement this feature into 52marketplace.com.

this will take a while because we are also working on other 52marketplace.com( .ca, co.uk, .au, .nz etc.) sites that must have this also when they go live

then there is the amount of money we must spend on getting this software, and making it work worldwide on our sites.

so you see this is a long term project.

Get some quotes on developing this technology. If its reasonable the costs can be shared. Members of OSAN who would like to integrate this technology will help pay the costs. Another benefit of OSAN Smile

our company wants to keep this exclusive to 52marketplace.com

first qoute on implementing this with contract with all the telphone companys in the US is aproxx. $ 625.000,00 for the first 12 months
this does not include the costs for billing the costumers who recieve the text messages on their mobile

i think this is a little to much for you all

http://www.baytogo.com The technology is avalable for ebay users and I'm certain this company would work with other online auctions. In fact, I am going to contact them now about using the technology as part of OSAN. Before you go spend $$$ I would check these guys out.
