I've been an eBay member for about 7 years with a good solid trackrecord.

I decided to take advantage of opening back up my eBay store to take advantage of the lower fees before the next rounds of price hikes.

Here's the situation, I bought a killer template from a fellow eBayer that was also booted by eBay I don't know if I should mention his name since I do not have his permission to do so.

As soon as I started to post with the new template which was designed by his wife and was in full comliance with eBay policy.

I get a message from someone that had banned together with 5 other guys to destroy this person's reputation.


This person even went on to say after I explained to them that I was not the person I was getting accused of being, (NICE TRY)

All of a sudden, I got my account suspended, minded I had a killer week with nearly $10,000 worth of sales with another $1000 or so closing within 48 hours.

I've been on eBay with zero major violations in the last 7 years, and maybe a minor violation for an image I borrowed from this same dealer.

In other words I keep it very clean.

Here's the message eBay sent us about 4 hours ago.


Dear coinauctioneer (coinauctioneer@stx.rr.com),

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community.

"Abusing eBay" of the eBay User Agreement states, in part:

"...we may limit, suspend, or terminate our service and user accounts, prohibit access to our website, remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep users off the Site if we think that they are creating problems, possible legal liabilities, or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies."

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way including registering a new account.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

OK now that you've read this, how do can I correct this before I end up losing our family business, all our bills with eBay have been paid, and I've never had a situation.

I've talked to powerseller support, they refuse to put me thru trust and safety since "I lost my powerseller" status when my account got suspended.

I'm having a real crisis here, my wife is upset, basically I had three family members quit their real jobs to join me build our online business.

The other member that also uses this forum was right, when someone wants you gone from eBay, poof you're gone not only that they will destroy your life.

If anyone has any info or direction I need to take this please please let us know as soon as humany possible.


Also, is it legal for eBay to shut down our business just like turning off a switch, without a single warning or reason?!?!?!

I simply can not afford to lose my house and everything I've worked for due to this.

Life is tough for our family as it is.

Believe it or not I have a much worse story that that, and I am still dealing with the struggle to keep my ebay business alive.

I looked at your user ID and it looks to me like you haven't had any sales since April...?

When my account got suspended, I was still able to call PS support and speak with them. It is important that you appeal the suspension. Not just once either. Do it TWICE. I was able to get my account back in 3 days.

Today they took my PS status away for "policy violations", which really translates into fees that aren't paid and aren't due until the end of August. I have had my account placed on hold several times already over this in the last 2 weeks, and each time I have to spend about 2 hours with Live Helpless until they wake up and realize my fees aren't overdue, and they resinstate my account.

Unfortunately for you - and many others - when you sign up to sell on eBay you agree to let them screw you any way, any time, for any reason they contrive.

It doesn't have to be just, fair, ethical, or even valid.

They can ruin your reputation, your business, your life just because they feel like it.

As to quick remedies - in my experience there are none. You have to go through the T&S dept and they only accept email they answer in their own sweet time with a canned response - no phone calls.

They suspended me 5 months ago because a federally documented natural disaster delayed a bunch of my shipments and complaints were filed because of it. I'm still trying to get everything cleared up - even though I have absolutely NO intention of opening my store back up and giving those b@$t@rd$ any more of my money. They have been absolute hell to deal with. Every time I think I've done everything they've asked me to do, they add one more hoop they want me to jump through. Of course, my story is long, convoluted and involves eBay's minion PayPal as well.

My suggestion - list your stuff on as many other sites as you can and get the sales through them. Check the other posts here for good sites. Many feed to Froogle.

I wish you the best of luck at whatever you decide to do. It may seem awful right now, but being screwed by eBay may actually be for the best - it was for me with hindsight.

I feel the same shill bid ring that did "triplexotica" in is now doing me in.

We each have proof of this, and eBay does nothing to protect the people that do this in an honest way.

There's 86 bids from so called powersellers on that item, if you look at the three that have stores (you cant miss it) all three cross bid on eachother's items not to mention their "private" items in which they leave feedback like idiots, and the seller of this item also cross bids on their items, in other words all four are now cross bidding on each of their items.

If you look at user imhoteppyramids he's retracted two bids both from this very seller, meaning there's a shill going on, that he wanted to back out thinking no one would bother to look at the canceled bids.

Also why would someone cancel a bid that stays on your record six months for $64 bucks, why bid $266 on the same item, then bid the very next day $266 if your bid for $64 was "wrong amount".

If you look at those guys you'll also see they are on eBay at the very same time, they are either on the phone or IM telling eachother to bid this up so it can make "eBay pulse" any item that gets over 30 bids gets put on the "hot list".


If someone sees what I see PLEASE report this to eBay as a shill.


I believe last year user "triplexotica" saw this very thing, and pointed it out to eBay more than 50 times, and got as far as talking to people from the Office of the President, how he got that phone number I'll never know.

user "triplexotica' pressed eBay to do something about this, they said they would suspend ALL accounts which included the imhotppyramids,njsteves,and mistain for 15 days which they did, stripped "triplexotica's" powerseller icon because of a gratuitous comment stating his findings on his auctions, man that auction was great over 5000 people had a chance to see it.


Me on the other hand I'm the quiet type, I have always bought coins from Leo even well before he was on eBay, who in the business doesnt? He's the go to guy for the really expensive stuff.

I was in need of this very coin, I saw the activity on eBay when I went to bid on this item it had 69 bids with one of those idiots as high bid, I said to myself oh no here we go again, how am I going to buy a coin that I need for a customer if this is happening all over again.

I reported a possible shill bid on the three users rightfully so, eBay responded with.... a generic email stating there was not enough, not enough? Look at the cross bidding on these three, and now four users, it's been going on for years. eBay is not enforcing shill bidding which in many states is illegal to say the least.

Not only that as soon as I reported this, and started selling my WTC coins as I do each and every August which Leo supplies everyone with, I get a comment on one of my auctions by a friend of those three, saying "Leo How are you"? I responded publically and very professional that I'm not Leo, and that Leo is not part of this or any of my auctions.

The ironic twist to this whole thing, user NJSTEVES had emailed me thinking we were friends stating "I got triplexotica's" powerseller icon taken away, next is going to be his account, I still have that email nearly 18 months later.

To think Leo once supplied ALL three of those guys with coins as he does with me and 20 others that currently sell on eBay.

Who's to say they are not next. then what? Something to think about.

As soon as I did my findings and reported them not only they suspended my long standing seller's account, my wife's personal account, and our son's personal account which we oversee since he's a minor.


Like I said before we've done nothing to deserve this, eBay sent us a half assed email with no reason other than we "abused eBay", if anyone knows a great eBay lawsuit style lawyer please let me know.

As you can clearly see we did not abuse "ebay in any way" if anyone sees what I see and knows someone high on the ebay pole,please report this as it hurts us all.

Unfortunatly I do not have the deep pockets like Leo does, I won't be able to pay for my home or my medical bills since I'm disabled.

With the price of gas as high as it is, I'm having a hard time keeping my head above water.

My entire family is shocked to say the least if anyone can help us or point us in the right direction I would surely be greatful.

I told you so. See folks, as soon as Blaine started selling some coins I have an exclusive on, which I cut out the three monkeys they started with their crap all over again.

I've been enjoying my retirement folks, I honestly do not care, however I do care about my friend and client Blaine.

He is innocent with all this nonsence, who are they going to try to close down now "strykercoins" Brian also sells my coin on eBay. Funny story each of these four idiots have ALL bought my coins on eBay, not only that I have checks and paypals from these four idiots that total into the 10's if not 100's of thousands of dollars They got buttbent when I told each of them I was done due to their shills on my items, they told me that if I exposed them they would destroy me, I even had one of the head cheese that wholesales them coins email me threating me that I would never sell another coin, funny thing while I was on the phone someone went on my website and bought a few coins. These people need to be stopped Blaine, if you need me for any reason you have my number, if they continue to harrass you or send you threating or offensive emails please save them with the headers, now with two people telling the same exact story, I hope to get my message clear.

It's been a great 18 months without eBay, and from what I've been hearing over the last few days on overseas news, (mainly chinese) that eBay is going to get hit hard next week when the new prices goes into effect.

I first came here sometime in Jan of 2005 as a spectator.

At the time I had no reason to join as I was happy with my relationship with eBay has always been a healthily one not to mention I had more fun than you can imagine and the money wasn't too shabby, I pocketed over 2 million dollars in 2003 just on eBay, and another 8 million in outside sales as a direct result of eBay.

My my how times have changed, I was once a mighty top level powerseller, heck I even had Suza and Mr. Fitzgerald's phone numbers (office of the president's) phone numbers, they knew me personally and called me often.

When I suspected the shill ring from the people Blaine described in is first post, the tune changed real fast.

One of my good clients in Utah, which is a retired Utah State Trooper, had informed me that user "njsteves" (which tried to rip me off with a paypal chargback twice) had sent him an email stating that I'm going to get Leo off of eBay sooner than he can ever imagine.

Anyway I pointed this out to Graff Fitzgerald Supervisor of eBay's bravo team (nice guy by the way) Graff has helped me out on some very touchy situations with my account, and had also guided me just in case I had these types of situations.

Blaine take notes buddy, try if at all possible to contact Graff Fitzgerald Supervisor Office of the President and BRAVO and avoid Suza C. at all costs if she's having a bad day she will let you have it in more ways than one.

Well anyway, during our boycott I voiced out my disgust with the way eBay mainly the office of the president was handling the shill bidding situation, I was told to wait a day, a day turned into two, turned into three and so on.

I took matters into my own hands during the boycott, and started my campaign to see if I can get enough people to notice what I've been noticing since March of 2004 an entire year of these idiots doing this over and over.

Every time I would type a new auction I would personally call Rose my powerseller manager to confirm that my auction was not in a gratuitous manner, and was in full compliance with eBay rules, just to make sure I was not breaking any rules, you have no idea how many times on a Sunday evening around 9pm trust and safety would call me from Canada to discuss my auctions or "have me correct myself" eh?! .


Heck I can find 30 auctions right now that NJSTEVES is still not in compliance 18 months after my departure, has anyone done anything about it HELL NO, meaning one thing he has someone "a mole" sweeping things under the rug somewhere in Canada's trust and safety.

See Blaine, unless you seek legal counsel, there's no way you can beat this, heck I can't even beat it without legal help.

I honestly don't care if I ever see eBay's site again, but for you Blaine, I will stick my damn neck out one more time.

I've given you all the tools I have in order for you to get in touch with the right people, if that does not work there's this really crazy guy in LA that's been a pimple on eBay's legal butt for years, he sure can help you out better than I ever can, he's cost eBay 100's of thousands of dollars in legal fees and depositions.

If there's enough of us with the same exact story, California must listen to our case, there is rampant fraud going on with these people shill bidding and artificially raising prices on coins, when the new series comes out they then flood the market and when sellers get desperate they say "Oh I'm not interested in doing a buy back" yeah buttmunch because you screwed them out of 85% more than the dang thing was worth with your shills that I pointed out to eBay.

Anyway..... you guys get my drift. It's 1:15 here on the west coast... and I gotta wake up early.
