Hi psunite...

basically www.epier.com has a very appealing layout (imo) similar to that "other" site, their fees is what's most appealing tho...all basic listings and re-listings are FREE and their FVF is a low 2.5% pretty much across the board. You can also buy the special auction enhancements of course, and buy a store subscription at $29.95 per year if you want to set up a storefront. Current membership stands are 81,239 - has grown by about 3000 members during the last 3 weeks. Looks like a promising little site to me, but I guess time will tell.

Hi All,

I own and operate www.fandamonia.com, which is a sports dedicated marketplace I opened in July after ebay doubled it's auction fees last Feb. The site has been doing very well lots of bids but I need listings. After a poll last week 88% of my users said the site should be opened to cover all items available online. So, I'm offering free sellers accounts for 1 year to anyone willing to register and list items.

Fees for the site are:
$5 for 1 month, 14 for 3 months, 27.50 for 6 months and $50 for 1 year. Included with this are unlimited auctions and classifieds, banners to your site or auction listings, reserves, buy nows, gallery photos......

All seller fees are pooled and put into monthly giveaways to benefit all users.

For example this months selling fees paid the shipping on 100 Mcfarlane Super bowl sets that got sent to users across Canada and the US.

On top of that, selling fees go to pay the shipping on items bought from sellers on Fandamonia.com.

For example:

Mcfarlane Heritage 2 Packs sold by Figurineforall.com come with free shipping for the buyer and Fandamonia sends payment to figurineforall.com for the shipping so the seller isn't out anything.

There is no other site on the internet that takes care of all of it's users this way! The major difference between Fandamonia.com and any other website is you,

Thanks

James

BluJay - http://www.blujay.com
BidChaser - http://www.bidchaser.com

They both look good, and the owners seem very responsive to new users' needs. I learned about BluJay through FAS (freeauctionscripts) forums and BidChaser through the GreedBay Yahoo group.

Most of my business will go through my own website, of course. (Once it's ready.)

Hello, I've been a lurker here for awhile, have been a seller on ebay since 1996 and have watched other sites for buyers & sellers -- both fixed-price and auction sites -- come and go, come and go, come and go... during all that time.

If you are a Bookseller or a Bookbuyer, and you want a book auction site AND a fixed-price mart, AND you want to be sure that the dealer stands behind their listings -- including verifications for first editions, signed books, etc. ; AND you want easy, intuitive listing and re-listing for your books; AND you want Seller-to-Buyer direct sales WITHOUT interference from the site; AND you want to limit outright fraud, or help mentor and educate those buyers and sellers who wish to learn about books but simply cannot do so in the atmosphere of the 'Other' sites --

For these and ALOT of other reasons, you need to check out Collectors Book Market at http://www.collectorsbookmarket.com

We've been members there since last July, all through the beta test phase, and now into the Live phase. And yes, we've SOLD books there already!! Several, in fact. Multiples to some people.

Are bookdealers listing their books at CBM? YES Are bookbuyers bidding on books there? YES

Does CBM need more books listed and more people bidding? YES!

Come join us - register, browse BOOK CATEGORIES, check out the $1.00 bargain auctions or the Fixed Price Mart (no books listed under $10.00) and the Reverse Auctions and Books Wanted.

You SAY you want a real bookbuying and bookselling alternative, built by bookdealers. All books, all the time. Check out collectorsbookmarket.com

1) Use the advanced browse and search tools to find books of interest
2) List or bid on books in the CBM Auction
3) List or buy books in the fixed-price Fine Books Mart
4) List or respond to Books Wanted ads and Reverse Auctions
5) Use our suite of free reference tools, including book condition and edition guides
6) Visit our community forums, where you can ask questions and make suggestions
7) Help us build our in-progress news and education pages, by sending or suggesting topics and articles
Cool Let your customers and friends know we're "live"!

For our members who sell books, keep in mind that we will be offering no or reduced fees for the next three months...

I started selling online last year. After dropping in the neighborhhod of $250 in listing fees on FeeBay and selling just one item, I started looking for places that were free or a much lower cost to list on.

I stumbled across iOffer last June and have done better on it then I did on the Bay. I have been selling on Bidville but have yet to make a sale but I have opened a store there as well as Wagglepop. I started on Overstock a couple of months ago but the problem there is I sell cookware and it conflicts with their store items. Though I dud manage to make 1 sale there this past week.

Just my opinion but if Overstock wants in on the auction business then they need to get out of the retail side.

The best alternative to ScamBay by far is iOffer.

IOFFER.com has been a WONDERFUL store for me. It is NOT an auction site, but is a BUY IT NOW store, with NO MONTHLY fees for maintaining the store.

IOffer.com has a very refined site, with SO MANY free tools. PICTURE GALLERY is FREE, and additional pictures are only FIVE CENTS. NO CHARGES until your item SELLS! They have great COMMUNITY board for your SPECIALIZED lines. I sell glass and pottery, crafts and jewelry, and they have a Community Board for each of these areas, where the older members help newbies, and everyone helps with identification and questions.

I am still an eBay PowerSeller, and can still afford to sell larger items there. But for the BOOKS, CRAFTS and COSTUME JEWELRY, I cannot do better than the IOFFER STORE.

Of course, I would VOTE FOR IOFFER, but it seems the voting is restricted to the ones already shown!

Come see me! Wink

Hi guys i am taking part in the boycott I have been at ioffer a couple of years now. check them out at alexa.com see the huge growth, twice as many listings as Yahoo. They use keywords to bring u buyers from the net not just the site.
Innovative site, message system,30 or 60 day listing no listing fees,Neat store free, free gallery, sales leads from want ads,Make your own chat club. They get u in all the search engines more traffic than other sites.Have some fun for a change.
I have supported every boycott, this one has a chance, but moreover a chance to expand your biz.NO PINKS NO CONSTANTLY CHANGING RULES nice members. Not some tiny site,a well established site.

Use mrgrabber, import Your feedback & listings too..

The auctionguild's newsletter had an important point BOYCOTTING IS ONE THING,BUT MOVING a block of at least 300,000 listings is what is needed as a group a huge movement.

iOfferlite is completely free to list items 4.99 or less no fees at all, give it a try. Great stores with shopping carts u can customize it too.

Very active chat boards & new clubs u list items right in the club & it goes in your store too..free gallery with a search box, categories, and shopping cart..

iOffer rocks check it out

Lots of powersellers all ready there, lots more at the epay boardie escapees club lol Very Happy
a bit different from auctions, easier nice members to give u a hand.

Make this the boycott that really accomplished something I voted for iOFFER a state of the art site with no greed no power trips NO PINKS

ioffer brought me back to selling online. I stopped about 5 years ago. No insertion fees and the great customer support, that was enough to get me to sell online again.

Here to give a big vote for iOffer. This site is packed full of things for free that eBay charges out of sight prices for.

I can't tell you how friendly this site is. The people there are like family. We help each other with everything.

The club forum is out of this world. Lots of information there.

To see what I am talking about, just give us a visit.

I'm totally new at online selling, or selling of any kind for that matter. I've always known there was good money in it, but no clue HOW, and Ebay's fees stopped me cold in the water. I bought there, but didn't even try selling very much.

Last summer, I stumbled onto iOffer. I couldn't believe the helpfullness of the experienced sellers. I've even had a couple very experienced sellers take me under their wing to mentor! I'm now listing and actually selling! Yes, it's slow for me, I expect that since I'm new at this and don't have a huge inventory, thus not a ton of listings, but I am seeing the potential I never did see on Ebay.

Words cannot describe the helpfullness and willingness of the experienced sellers at iOffer. I had expected competitors attitudes, not helpfull attitudes!

I'm experimenting with other sites also, but iOffer will always be my homebase! Very Happy I even created a Crafters Custom Order club, which is helping create sales buyers wouldn't expect to be able to find on a selling site such as this!

Crafters Custom Order Club

My Storefront

I've even created a website, and included an iOffer Craft Fair within it, which I'll be expanding soon to include more iOffer members.

We really did our homework before we decided to move our store from eBay's site to iOffer.com. It wasn't just the fee hikes that motivated us but a combination of little thing over the past year on eBay.

We had been looking since the middle of last summer when a powerseller systematically set out to destroy our business because our sales were higher than his. What was Ebay response... Nothing. Evil or Very Mad

I had a problem on ioffer (Paypal related) I had an email response from a real person in about 1 hour with the correct way to fix the problem. Problem fixed.

If you want a site that is user friendly, seller friendly and has good growth over the past 2 years iOffer is it. Traffic rank is UP 744 places in the last 3 months, reach UP 19% and page views UP 8%.

Free listing, free store, free migration of your Ebay items. What do you have to loose by trying iOffer. Nothing but eBay. Very Happy
