OfferMe.com.au bridges the gap between buyers and sellers like never before.

The concept is similiar to the stock exchange. People go to OfferMe.com.au when they know what they want to purchase. OfferMe bring the buyers to the sellers. All the sellers have to do is offer a good price to the buyer. No listing fees or charges. Its a "no sale, no charge" zone.
Check it out. It's free to register!

Would love to hear from anyone with experience at weensy.com. I'm taking they don't allow clothing/footwear? Looks like a lot of collectibles/antiques.

Does anyone who sells there have any good luck actually selling? I started a collectibles site at blujay that has died & needs to be moved to a better location so I'm searching again.

Started a new IOffer site for childrens everything but the slowness loading that site is a bit disconcerting, also the huge # of LV & Couch??? throws me off a bit? I'd love to find a good selling site for childrens things which I have a huge stock of. Recommendatios appreciated.

I would suggest Delcampe.com and Delcampe.net, depending on your collectibles. Perhaps specialistauctions.com. You could do a search of this forum (link near the top of the page) for the word collectibles and see what comes up. (I recommend you change the radio button in the middle of the search page from Show Topics to Show Posts and to the right increase the characters returned to 1000 per post.)

I think you're talking about Wensy.com? PSU Thread on Wensy noted in my spreadsheet

Other than the tiny sales volume, the thing that bugs me about the smaller sites is the $5 legal bootleg DVDs that sell for $1 at Walmart. I sell DVDs and laserdiscs, so that junk just keeps everyone away, including me. The regular commercial DVDs are so few.
I need to find a place with good volume, lots of buyers, and high quality items. So far, ebay is the only one with all three, and their new fees and feedback stupidity are unbearable now.

For DVD's and laserdiscs, if what you have are harder to obtain, I would suggest you consider Amazon. People are going there for movies as well as books, now. I wouldn't try to compete with current merchandise, but the equivalent of out of print might work out...

I can't recall any niche sites that seemed good for that category of item, but they might be one. A direct Google Base upload might work out. There are a few larger sites that are having steady growth and may be worth supporting.

Good luck!

That is a good point. I do use amazon now to sell many rare DVDs. It works good. The only drawback is it takes so long to set up a listing. If I only have one to sell, it reduces my motivation to do it.
They do not have a laserdisc section except for their empty auction area.
Guess I will try some of the sites mentioned here and see if I can attract any buyers. It seems kind of hopeless tho.
In a way, I am glad about the ebay horrible policies, if it will generate some more auction sites to grow much more. We just need one alternate site to get bigger. That really is the only hope.
Thanks,
John

You might be interested in the results of the search below. I did it thinking there might be a search that includes laserdiscs like http://used.addall.com for books and www.musicstack.com for CDs and records and tapes. I didn't find one, but you may find a customer if you want to unload them all, or you may want to scope out the competition...

Yahoo's auction site features the typical auction-site categories. The site is a spin-off from Yahoo.com and the format reflects this bare-bones look. The main Yahoo Auction site page sports a 99-cent No Reserve Showcase, Featured Auctions, and Spotlight section.

www.tradersoup.com

Tradersoup auction site has a wordy front page because the front page design is focused on the category listings. Although the Traderoup logo reads "Buy Sell Trade Auction", there is no indication that this auction site permits trading or negotiation-purchases. The main focus on the front page of Tradersoup is the category listing of auctions, with little to catch-the-eye except words and an item count within each category listed. Below the category listing, the viewer can see a small group of Featured Auctions.

Featured items and Featured Search results are easily viewed with the basic information and small thumbnail photograph. The site has an interesting Auction section enabling the viewer to select types of auctions to review, such as "Red Hot Auctions" or "Going Going Gone Auctions". (Tradersoup.com is growing at a fast pace, many E-bay sellers and buyers are joining this online auction site.)

Worth Noting:
* There are no FAQs available, nor is there a readily-accessible Fee schedule on any final value selling fees
* Rating/feedback count is determined with individual items sales, not unique buyer/seller.
* User Profile easy to review and shows current total of auction listings, website URL (if applicable), total posts in site forum.

Short summary about the site by the owner

As the name suggests we're a games specific auc tion site. We spent a good 6-8 months listening and learning about how we could improve on current sites and build a service that would better serve gamer's requirements.
We have a 100% no Spam and no Piracy policy, complete with acknowledgement from ELSPA (www.elspa.com) to back these claims up. Piracy in the videogames auction market is rife and something gamers (buyers) are fed up with.
We launched to the public in June this year and have received plenty of positive press in the gaming community. Our highlight to date was the successful listing and subsequent sale of a rare videogame that fetched $1200 (US) to a collector in the Middle East, this was one sale that showed the calibre of members we've attracted to date.
We're a very forward thinking site, we know the games market and we would more than welcome any comments, questions or opinions. We listen to comments and make changes where appropriate.

Hi GL,
I already joined but I can't seem to figure some stuff. Let me know how your friend does. I thought it looked pretty good and now I am starting to see some bids from buyers on it. I will keep watching it.

There is a site called www.GunBroker.com that sells firearms and acc. They are set up very similar to ebay. If enough people contact them we could convince them to set up a companion site to sell other stuff. Please check it out www.Gunbroker.com and pass this around.

Hi Nimrod,
Well, you are right it is like ebay. Couldn't even figure out how to just email them a simple message. If you find out how it is done, let me know. It sure does look like ebay.
