Hi I am new here. I just got two unauthorized charges to my bank account for 99.98 from Ciggarrest. I was told that I was getting it free. Now they want me to send the products back. I am now neg. 27 dollars. I have contacted the BBB and AG in Ca. So far nothing from living essentials but I will be checking on that now. Has anybody gotten their money back or find that this product even worked. It it didn't for me. |

Couple of friends tried Ciggarrest with the same lack of success. Apparently just a hyped placebo. Don't know anything about their payment rules specifically, but usually when you agree to try something you also agree to continuing shipments charged against the card that was used to cover S&H of the "sample." Of course, that little tidbit is underscored to the point of being non-existent until after the fact.
Just a come on to get a continuing cash flow until cut off. |

Fraud!!!!
This company called LE LIVING ESSENTIALS 800-588-1316 CA
debits small amounts to make sure they have you then they hit you with a big amount. Check all statements they are small amounts like .35
.95
I believe it is connected to cigarrest and I hope to get my money back.
If you were a victim can you provide me with any information?
I believe everyone who looks at their statement and notices the small amount quickly may prevent themselves for falling victim to this.
So please check those statements!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the telephone numbers that are posted on this site I was able to talk to an actual person concerning the authorized money withdrawn from my bank account from C&C LE Living Essential. The person I spoke with is at the corporate office is named Sarah and she can be reached at 800-437-5174. She requested that I wait about a week to call back with my confirmation number I received from the automated line in order to assure that the account/membership (for which I never applied) is definitely cancelled. So thanks to you all and I will keep you posted about the money ACTUALLY being refunded to my account. |

I ordered Cigarrest in an attempt to quit smoking. Thier product is a complete sham to begin with. I am curious to know what criteria is used in thier effectivenss claim. I signed up for the 30 day trial, which was only supposed to cost me $6.95 for shipping. Within a week of recieving the product, I was chraged $108.24 for a 90 day supply, and two weeks later (today) I was charged $69.00 from Loving Essentials. I noticed that this charge came immediately after my request for refund on the cigarrest product, but before I got my money back.
The product is basically a big box of wintergreen gum, a multivitamin and and a bottle of little mint flavored chew tabs. It includes an instructional CD-ROM and 'self help' book. None of these products are designed to 'wean' the smoker off of cigarretes, as is commonly instructed by most doctors, nor do they contain ANY nicottene, which is needed in an effective stop smoking program. Simply put, it's a cold turkey method that appears to be really flashy.
At any rate, I sent the product back, at my cost, using thier return authorization procedures, and then called a few days later to check the status of my refund. Interestingly enough, the product had not shown up, though the USPS said it did. The following week I spoke to another customer service lady that said the product had arrived on the previous Wednesday (last), which was odd because it was only shipped on Tuesday, using 2 day priority (which we all know takes 3 days anyway).
So the lady proceeded to tell me that refund would be issued within 24-48 hours. After I had informed her that the time frame for that had already passed, she stumbled her way through what I can only imagine was a coreographed line of excuses, and told me that my refund should be seen today.
When I said that was not acceptible and that I wanted to talk to a supervisor, I was told that none were available and that a message could be left and I would be contacted between 8am and 5pm today. Interestingly enough, they close up shop at 4pm.
I then checked my bank account and saw the charge from 'Loving Essentials'.
Good for me, bad for them, the charge was declined. Ironically enough, becuase of insuficcient funds! The card I use is a pre-paid type, and I only put money on it, when I want to use it. Now, Google 'loving essentials' and stick your head in the oven.
Come to find out, the 'loving Essentials' is a partner in crime company, that Cigarrest uses to snatch money from folks. The charge IS authorized, because when you sign up for Cigarrest, the fine print lets you know that you WILL be charged $69.00 from Loving Essentials, as part of a support program.
You recieve no further product from any company, for anything. But you lose some money you may have thought you had. Another wierd thing, they charged the original shipping price of $6.95, over the course of 7 different transactions, some for less than 50 cents.
In the end, this product is a total sham. It is advertised as something it most certainly is not. I still have some of the product left, for anyone interested in taking a look for legal purposes. Another strange thing, the woman's voice on the TV commercial, sounds strikingly similiar to the customer service lady's voice. STAY AWAY FROM CIGARREST!!! Thier product to quit smoking is about as effective as a kick in the crotch, and the financial headaches that come along with it are about as fun as that same kick.

Well when I first entered the site a few days ago about the C&C Living essential scam I was provided with good information and therefore I passed it along.
I write to you today to let you know that my $69.00 has been credited to my bank account and the membership permanently cancelled.
I hope that information can assist someone else in getting their hard earned money back. |
