I am only experienced with fixed-price selling, but I have just registered and started selling on Bidville. I am very pleased and impressed. The various 'safeguards' are excellent and the entire site seems well planned with lots of features. Good work, Bidville. |

I signed up for the 3 month store site and the items I had listed did not seem to get any traffic much less any sales. I closed it after 2 months. I will be watching it and if it seems to start having traffic and sales, I will reconsider listing there again. Thank you for the update on this site. |

I wanted to run a test on the 3 sites I sell on with my # 1 hit maker on ebid to compare the sites. The test didn't last long because the day after listing that motherboard combo on Bidville it sold! It reeked like a scam at first because the new buyer wanted it overnight but it worked out so far with no chargeback. One of the keys with BV is to talk on the boards there and advertise what you are selling. The boards there are one of the most active out of any I've seen on these sites so your postings get alot of eyeballs. |

i was told this when i started on overstock, too. in fact, most of the sales i made there were to other boardies...but my sales were still lousy.

When I think about sales being down at the various venues we are testing, I remember that my sales were also down on eBay.
And my store at eBay had become incognito to boot. At least at the other venues they are not hiding my store!
I'm still trying. Considering opening a Preso Stores. Any experience with that out there? Thanks for any info on that.
Good Luck & Best Wishes to All----

well, consider that something like 60% of coca-cola's entire budget is spent on advertising...

I closed my BidVille store because it was getting close to renewal time - 3 months without a sale. 2 hours later I got my FIRST bids. This got me so motivated I joined the listing contest, listed 19 new items, and renewed all the items I'd let expire.
I am just going to stick with auctions though, and see what else happens.
About all that busy stuff on top of the pages at BidVille: I usually avert my eyes. I never cared much for all that flash and blink (except maybe at Christmas) -- Hopefully they will do something to make it less intrusive. |

grand am was a 1996 and we are currentley building a website. but you would not believe the hits that myspace generates[/quote]
just wondering because I had a 95 and it had plenty of problems, but the main one was the engine going out with only 55,000 miles.. turns out GM had a flaw with the 3.1 engines where they overtorqued the head gaskets causing them to crack... bummer since they never admitted to it.. $3000 down the tubes! everyone i have talked to that had near the 95 year with the 3.1 engine had the same problem happen... |

actualy shooting star you are correct. the 1990-1995 3.1 v6 had numerous head gasket issues block issues so on. it was a major gm flaw. i know i have worked on cars since i was 13 and replaced quite a few. in 1996 gm switched to the 3100 engin. not much diffrent then the 3.1 but the heads were sold on them gm finally figured out thier torgue issues around 94 most people dont know and continued to produce the car knowing the issue was not resolved. and gm wonders why all of a sudden thier losing money hand over fist |
