Hello all.

After many months/years of watching the internet rise and debating whether or not to enter the rat race of selling online, I have finally decided to try my hand at sales due to an increasing desire for extra income. (Even if only a little extra.)

Due to very limited resources online sales appears to be a viable opportunity for me. Well, since I have discovered there are alternatives to the large online auction type sites. I think there is still opportunity for a lot of growth in online sales, as long as the economy doesn't implode. Or at least until Uncle Sam and the giant corporations of the world take full contol of the last "frontier".

I know next to nothing and have no experience in the sales world. But, I see no reason why I can't be the next Sam Walton! Surely he was not born knowing how to build a retail empire.

I'm sure I have a great deal to learn in many areas. That's why I'm here.
Knowledge is power, isn't that the old saying?

Regards,

MSB

MillStreetBooks,

With your attitude and determination, everything is possible. I am amazed at the generosity and massive knowledge here at PSU. This is a great place for you to be right now and you will learn so much from these folks.

Glad you are here. This is one of my favorite places and I suspect it will become one of your favorite places too.

Wishing you ALL the best !

Thank you for the encouragement, Purse Stuff. I'm just gonna take it slow, one day at a time.

I noticed that you left out a "s" in my name. Maybe I should have too. I was thinking that may be a recurring problem. As the first "s" is more or less silent as you say it.

It doesn't really matter here. But I sure hope people remember the correct spelling when typing in their web browser. Smile Else I may have to change it... again. Sad

Good Day,

~MSB

Hi MSB,
Sorry about misspelling your name. I am notorious for multi-tasking and I do not always multi-task well Embarassed

MillsStreetBooks is a great name and I don't think you should change a thing just because I messed it up. Very Happy

A hearty welcome to one of our newest registered users here at the PSU forums! Very Happy
I too joined the fray known as the online auction sites back in 04 and have learned A LOT about selling, marketing and merely chatting with some of my online amigos.
When searching for an alternative auction site to list your items, please don't get discouraged when things don't sell quickly. It takes time, creative marketing and a lot of patience to make a little $$ while selling online.
After you get the hang of things, try your hand at your own web store here at PSU, (PM psunite for the info). It's a bit complicated at first, but once you learn the techniques, it's easy to make your own $$ without having to pay huge fees while listing your items to sell to the online public.

Best of luck and thanks for joining the gang here!! Very Happy

I have a friend named Nation. Everybody calls him Nations. Guess it's easier to say, but it annoys me sometimes because his name is cleary spelled out on his name badge. Rolling Eyes
