I haven't had many sales thru Yahoo yet, so maybe I just don't know where to look or what check box to fill in. Maybe someone here knows.

I don't seem to be getting buyer shipping info for my sales. I had someone buy 3 items Sat. First I had trouble contacting them thru the email provided -- it was "rejected". So I sent a Yahoo invoice. Still no contact.

This morning I sent a GC invoice and finally the buyer got back to say he would send cash. That's fine, but when I check my Y emails, no buyer name and address at all. Nothing on the site that I could find either.

How the heck are we supposed to send stuff if we don't have decent info.

As far as I know, Yahoo is the only site that I sell on that doesn't supply the seller the buyer's info.

Yahoo is odd

One season it was great , another time a ghost town

Never brought in the niche traffic I needed , never brought in the high rollers , hits sometimes matched eBay.

Yahoo bulk tool was difficult but in retrospect alot better then Turbolister ....but always funny little details to make it difficult.

Still I would be using Yahoo USA a little , if only for the traffic and free if rare sales....but last I checked I was banished to a little know tundra kiosk spot called Yahoo Canada ! Which makes Mighty Bids look popular. Crying or Very sad

I wonder if I'm still locked out of Yahoo USA , do they still ban Canucks?

Oh woe !

Hiya Carol! Yes, I do NOT see any address information from buyers on Yahoo when I make a sale. In the end-of-auction message, you only get the zip code (or that's what I see)...

When I send my invoice (on all sites), I do ask the buyer to send their address if using MO or CC - no matter which site. If it's a non-Yahoo, non-Paypal payment, I'd like to make sure what they 'gave at sign-up' is what they give when it's time to ship!!!

I honestly don't recall getting it with BJ either - I don't even get an E-O-A there. But all sales I've had here have been paid thru PP. Can't remember on rScript (stinks to age)!!!

Would like it, for sure!! Very Happy Rolling Eyes Wink

Erin,

On the other sites you have to find the spot to check to get the emails. I recently had 2 BJ sales and got the emails to notify me right away. They also have the address on the "my invoices" area.

Most of the sites usually have ALL the emails checked by default so you end up getting too many emails. You have to be careful not to disable too many and end up not getting those that you need.

At least that's been my experience.

And at least you can find the buyer info somewhere on all the other sites BUT Yahoo. It's not like we don't need that info either.

Carol

No hon, I've been selling for over a year. You get a zip for shipping purposes. Then you send a pay pal invoice. When they pay you use that. If they chose to send a money order or check. Then you have to email back and forth to get it. I've had no problems with this. I hope all worked out fine for you.
There is the contact buyer if you click the sold item name. Its a small box next to leave rating. You can contact through there also.

I did eventually make contact with my sale. But the first email I tried to send to the email addy in the EOA kept getting "rejected". I don't know what that was all about.

So I sent an invoice thru Yahoo, but several have been questioning IF those are actually going thru.

I finally sent a GC invoice to the addy from Yahoo. It wasn't until I sent that on Monday (sale was Thurs) that I got any answer from the buyer. He's going to send cash. So then I had to email to tell him to send his shipping info with the cash as I don't have it yet.

Just a poor system all round in my opinion.

Hummm. . . Yes, lots of problems there. We put up with this because its free. Lots of people on the help boards are afraid to say anything for fear of them shutting it down. Its all bazzar. Yes, I agree. ladyJ

Precisely the way that I've been doing it.

Also, as an aside, since I dumped our e-gay store, I've opened up a presence on yahoo, ecrater and Bidville.

bidville was a ghost town; not too many hits and I was selling (just to get jumpstarted) several popular e-gay items at no profit. Thus after 3 months, I shut down the bidville store and concentrated on ecrater & yahoo.

Ecrater is a kick and I like it...lots of hits but no sales...I think that it has potential and I'll be there for awhile. I have a link to my ecrater presence from my www.skywayimages.com website and people are linking in.

Yahoo is rocket science to initially figure out, but I'm making sales (4 in the past week) and incrementally growing. No fee's make it worthwhile.

When e-gay had its 20 cent listing special, I posted 6 items and have already sold one (21.99). Have watchers on others. Haven't listed on e-gay since September. Must admit, I liked it.

Anyway, best of luck to all you entrepreneurs!

I don't have all my items on Bidville, but I had quite a few. Most have ended because I've sold elsewhere. LOL. I have never had one sale on there. I don't know what Im doing wrong. Weird. I've had better luck on Ecrater. Blujay has died for me.
