Please can somebody help!

I have installed The Google Checkout Module and can get everything working fine.
BUT

when a user goes through the checkout process and the shipping cost gets added when they click checkout the shipping costs get dropped when they go through to google checkout?

I've checked around the forum and can see posts for adding API's, but what is an API and which file do I need to alter OR is there a simple way of setting a flat rate for shipping.

The google checkout module uses the standard shipping module for shipping for the "fast checkout" For normal checkout it just takes the shipping cost generated from virtuemart and passes it too google checkout.

To have a flat shipping rate you can make all your items weight say 1 pound and then create a shipping rate for weights 0 through 10000 and set the price.
