Hi, Newbie here to both the forum and iOffer. I'm an X-PowerSeller who went in with a friend to try and start a new auction site, actually two of them. Needless to say, they aren't doing a thing, every X-PowerSeller is trying to become the next ebay.

Another friend of mine told me that she was having luck with iOffer so I decided to make the move. I left my other friend my best wishes with HER auction sites and listed more than 200 items in iO. I understand the way the economy is things will be slow as far as sales are concerned. I'm staying positive in hopes for the Holiday Shopping Season.

I have mixed emotions about iO. I understand that each person has to Advertise their own store, I'm fine with that, heck I love to Advertise. What I don't get is those Events. What is the meaning of them? They, in my opinion, are the biggest waste of time. Why aren't these people talking about collaborative ideas on how to ban together and promote iO or their stores? Sellers don't buy from Sellers. Buyers buy from Sellers. Do they not understand that? I go to an event and sit in there with only a handful of people talking to one another totally ignoring the other 20 or so. I try to bring up the topic of promoting, advertising, etc. and I'm lucky if I get one response. They'd rather discuss knock-off handbags and homemade jam. LOL, I really don't get it. Isn't the idea of an event for a Seller to invite all of his/her Buyers? Why don't they do that and why are these people afraid to promote?

Thanks for listening to me vent on the topic it's just that since August 4th I have been doing all I can to get people to notice iOffer so we ALL have a profitable Holiday Selling Season.

Best of luck to you! Confused

The events do generate sales. I have gotten many from them. Make sure you get on the list of all of the people as a friend. Then you get an invite to the events. The people that attend the events are not just sellers. I have many sales that come just from buyers. The key is to join as many events as you can because your product shows even if you are not at the event. You cannot see your product but it will scroll there at the top. You will get the invites for the events. Make friends and you don't even have to go to the events if you don't want to.
