Welcome Tripp! I offer my kudos for creating a pay now button. I thank you for the money. I try to spread the word.

Complaints Section:
I ask that someone test your site on dial-up as I find it painfully slow. Maybe someone at your end can identify some areas where the pages can 'lose weight'. It is literally the slowest site I have ever been to that I was not waiting for some flash game to download (for my daughter who is susceptible to Nickelodeon ads).

I signed up a few weeks back but the trouble I had with finalizing everything is that my address is a PO Box. All of my bills are sent to my PO Box, my checks have my PO Box and my drivers license has my PO Box, everything with my name on it has my PO Box. I live a half a mile from my mail box which is on a busy highway so I do not accept mail there due to my previous mail not getting to me, I don't even have a mailbox there anymore. Revolution will not accept PO Boxes as an address and the email I received requested I fax them a bill or some form of id stating my physical address. Too much trouble for me to go through personally. I do not have an id or bill that has my physical addres on it and I am not going to go downtown to wait at the courthouse to get a copy of my property taxes which although does have my physical address, is not in my name but my husbands name. I have had this address for over 10 years and have never had a problem signing up for anything before. I don't really understand why I can't use the address I have used for so long to sign up for Revolution but if that is your rules I understand. Just wanted to point out that there are some people out there that do not have street addresses and that doesn't make them more of a risk necessarily.

My father has had the same P.O. box for umpteen years, and if anything is addressed to his street address, the Postmistress puts it in his box for him. Perhaps RME would accept a copy of a couple utility bills showing they do deliver to P.O. box. Or, even better - just a thought - perhaps they would accept a note from your Postmaster that they know your physical address is XXXX and that you have maintained the box for Y years. An OLD bill might serve the same purpose. A notion for Tripp to discuss with his "inside contacts".

The one thing I found disturbing about MoneyExchange is after I ran into trouble not being able to finishing completing signing up because I had just moved and now have a P O Box I did some checking on the company. I didn't like the idea that it is strictly a credit card company. This still bothers me and I did not want to finish my sign up even though I could send one of my utility bills to them. I don't trust credit card company's.

RME is owned by a bank. As many banks do, they also offer credit cards.

RME handles only credit cards. If you dug deep enough this enformation is easy to find. It might be owned by a bank but this branch handles only credit cards.

They allow one to fund from a linked bank account and withdraw to a linked bank account. The main method of using them is to transfer $ amounts from one RME account (which is not a credit card) to another user's RME account. So what are you saying about 'handles only credit cards'? Please provide the link to the information you keep posting about. I, for one, am confused about what you are claiming.

I did a search on the RME branch and run across this info. I would have to do the search again to find it. I found several parts for the company. The bank is located in South Dakota with RME located in Florida. This part is only credit card. If I can find the page again I can get the link here, but it may take me a little while to find it again.

Thanks you for your quick replies. This has already proved to be valuable! I want to mention that while I may not respond to every post, I’m making a note of all.
-----------------------------------------------------------
RevolutionMoney is all about the need for a "revolution" in the payments space, whether it be person-to-person online payments, or credit card payments to merchants. We understand that there is a broad mistrust of credit card companies—that’s why we are trying to change how things are done. We want to shift the power back into the hands of consumers and merchants.

RME is not owned by a bank. MoneyExchange and RevolutionCard are products of RevolutionMoney, which is part of the family of companies within Revolution LLC. We are backed by First Bank & Trust, Member FDIC. This gives users assurance that their money is safe and accounted for. Here is a link to information about our company: https://www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com/WebSite/CompanyInformation.aspx

In regards to the situation with the P.O. Box, I can understand your frustration. The rationale for requiring a physical address is to protect your security. It is difficult to verify an individual’s identity with a P.O. Box. Also (and because of this), most cases of fraud come from folks using P.O. boxes for their address. Therefore, our fraud team feels most comfortable requiring a physical address during verification to provide you maximum protection against fraud.

Unfortunately, this policy may inhibit people who have a long established P.O. box from signing up for MoneyExchange. I have talked to someone in fraud about your situation, and we are going to monitor if others are having the same problem. I understand why sellers might use a P.O. way and for that reason we might have an issue. I hope you choose to finish your account verification and encourage you to give customer service a call at 1-800-794-9071 to resolve your situation.

Thanks, Tripp! What is the difference between being 'owned by' and being 'backed by' a bank?

Thanks for having people look into this Tripp. I will go ahead and try to give them a call again but since I am unable to prove I am a reliable seller due to my address I don't think I will get very far. When I signed up I had to give my full name, birthdate and social security number - I would have thought that would have been some assurance right there - I have accounts through both paypal and google checkout and I didn't have to go through this much trouble when I signed up with them. But like I said earlier, if that is your policy thats fine. I will go ahead and give customer service a call and try again but if I am not allowed to sign up with a PO Box then we will have to part ways at this point. Maybe sometime in the future if things change I will reapply.

Oh, the troubles scammers and crooks cause! I understand about fraudsters often using PO boxes. But honest people use them, too. Shouldn't the SSN be enough?

Go read any forum where the minor fraudsters hang out, and you'll soon find that is one of the few things they can't fake. (Evil fraudsters have no compunction about stealing SSNs, of course, but they are so evil and clever they don't need a PO box, anyway.)

Internet merchants and auction sellers have a particular need for PO boxes. If we advertise our physical addresses on the web, or even make it available to buyers, we may be robbed (this has happened numerous times and LE advises using a PO box for that very reason), stalked by nuts or simply get bugged by people ringing our doorbells and wanting to rummage through our merchandise.

I would not mind RME having my physical address (in fact, they already have it). But I do not want my physical address given out to customers or potential customers. (Crooks will buy something to get your address, then come and rob you.) Will customers be able to see my address if I use RME as a payment option on my site?

Thank you so much for stopping in to answer our questions. I am impressed!
