Hey all:

I've got a desktop (several actually) and a laptop. Yesterday, outa the blue - and for no known reason, my laptop stopped displaying photos for the Yahoo Auction site.

I assumed it was a site issue, but now - I don't think so. My desktop shows photos on Y Auctions just fine.

Both systems are running XP, and I'm baffled why one would show the photos over there @ Y and the other would not.

I did 'no updates', and 'no system changes' to either. The only 'auto-updates' I run is the AVG - no other programs auto-update. If you have any ideas on how I can 'fix' or troubleshoot this, it would be much appreciated!!

Is it possible the pictures are 'cached' on your desktop so you still see them, but they aren't actually showing up on the site? - Nevermind, I just realized you were probably referring to ALL pictures at Yahoo.

I had that happen to me once.

Only other thing I can think of would be if the laptop's 'resources' are running low. Usually pics are one of the first things eliminated when this happens.

Other than that...I don't know.

Well....that's a thought (both ideas).....sometimes with 'puters, I feel as if I'm in the twilight zone!!!

I'm going to have to spend some time looking around - time I don't have or want to take, but I guess it's needed!!!

What browser are you using? Maybe the browser is blocking the images. Try testing with another browser like FireFox

Thanks PSU - I should have shared that both are running FF. Same version of FF too.

What's strange - I can see photos on all other sites...just not Yahoo!!!

Goto tools->options then the content tab and click on the "exceptions" button next to "Load images automatically" and see if yahoo is in there

Thank you - I'll give that a try!!! I just have to 'work' in my office instead of in front of the 'tube' - - so the good news....I'm not completely tool-less!
