How does it work??

[size=12]I have always been a little confused about getting registered with a search engine. Is this something you do yourself, or if you register the domain is it done automatically? Or if someone searches for a keyword in your site, or product name does your site come up?

Blogging at different forums helps sometimes along with these two I use:

Yahoo also has one but I cannot seem to locate it now Embarassed

Some sellers use key words while I usually just plug my whole site's link into the search engines. While chatting on forums, such as this one and others make sure you have a link to your store in your siggy at the bottom. This can be done in your profile which is a button at the top of this page.

You can actually submit your site with google. http://www.google.com/addurl/

But all you really need to do is have a link to your site on another site that gets index and your site will then get indexed also.

Thanks for all the help. I'm getting my ducks in a row and will get setup with a PSU store soon. I'm tired of Ebay, even though I'll keep a few things there to use as a guide to my store here.
