There's a kind of display you can get in a Google Base products search which shows only your own listings, with drop-down selectors for product, material, price, and whatever attributes you created. In my opinion it's a decent showcase of your products.

Here's an example: Mystic Gem Creations on Google

It's not that easy to find though for a given seller. What do you guys think about it? Would it be worthwhile to distribute the url in emails, signature line or websites? Is it another google blind alley, or would you expect google to develop and promote it eventually?

Hmm, never heard of this Bill but will check into it.

Matter of fact, I'm currently Rl most of my items at GB as we speak and any sort of promotional marketing would be good IMHO.

Thanks for the info!

Hi, Try going to your Google Base account,
open up any item you have listed,
at the top it says 'all items by...',
click that,
a page will come up of all of your Google Products Search items,
at the top it says 'See items in: Products Wanted',
click Products, use this page's url.

I just figured this out myself. Let me know if this is useful.

I just noticed, on the upper right hand corner there is an RSS feed button which makes all of your google base products available on an RSS feed. I think this would be very convenient if you can figure out how to promote and distribute it.

What I like about all this is that we don't have to do anything to make it happen. Google puts it together.

It also occurs to me that these auction sites and listing sites are missing an opportunity here. Some of them submit a feed to google base, but do any accept an RSS feed for listings? Think of a standard feed that you could publish on your site, that all of the sites could accept. Set up one time, publish to ebid, ecrater, plunderhere, etc. It would be a hundred times easier for the sellers and would be a vast untapped source for the alt sites.
