Cabanalolita's Booth--- Check out the iOffer.com section in this forum.
Some people have done very well with iOffer, and some people have not sold a single thing for months. With iOffer, you need to actively try to pull customers in to your store by promoting elsewhere online. My experience for the past several months has been that a seller cannot rely solely on a large number buyers just showing up and searching for what you have, as they do with eBay. Using GoogleBase makes your store items searchable through the Google shopping website, after you've listed them on iOffer.
I did very very well on sales after the first month, then sales took a nosedive. I think it depends on what you have to offer for sale. The price is right-- It's free to list until you sell. For me, the clubs there, and the events turned out to be a big waste of time, as mostly sellers are there. (and I'm not looking for sellers... I'm looking for buyers). The clubs are useful if you have questions on how to use the site though. The website would be fantastic if they could find a way to bring more buyers in, and clean out some of the questionable sellers to boost their image. Hopefully, with the busy season approaching, maybe we'll see more buyers showing up. It turned out to be a slow summer for me.
Good luck. |
