Well its finally done. Bidville is gone.

I would like to take a second to thank all the loyal sellers that stood by the site for 7 years. We gave it our best shot with very little support. Gone is one of the easiest listing sites out there. Gone also are some of the best looking stores out there.

I would also like to thank all my loyal buyers who helped me amass over 10,000 sales and over 4,000 positive feedbacks and who continued to order up until the last minute possible. You made my Bidville experience enjoyable throughout. I do hope all of you will follow me on to my next venture whether it be Blujay, Ecrater or a website of my own.

I do wish all Bidville sellers success wherever they may land. Keep the same attitude and whatever site you choose will become successful.

I would like to leave a few parting shots for Ubid, but I will censor myself instead.

Best of luck to all and thanks for the memories.

Well put Tails Good Luck to all Bidville sellers. And a big thanks for nothing to Ubid. You took a site with great potential, easy navigation, great store setup and ruined it. Keep in touch I'm moving over to Ecrater.
Regards, Frank

Yes same here. I was a Loyal Member of Bidville since they opened. I will TRULY Miss that site. Your right, a very easy listing format. I have had many sales there in the past 7 1/2 years. I will miss everyone. Its a very sad time for me, cause it did use to be my home away from home. I always felt I could count on BV to store all my inventory and I used them for backup, when I was selling at other places. BV closed early, they closed yesterday night around 10 PM. So I could not grab all of my photos, and descriptions, but I did grab most. (4900 plus)

I am also selling on Blujay and Ecrater but its still sad. I wish they would of spent more time to making it more successful versus closing the doors.

Oh well, change is manditory but I don't like it.

Good Luck All,

Victoria

The Bidville site had a nice store format and the graphics were strong. The site speed was slow, yet the fees were low. Has anyone who maintained a store on Bidville and filed for a prorated refund , have any idea if we will see a refund from U-Bid?

I won't hold my breath. I have filed for a refund and also ask them when they expected to send my payment. They did not say anything.

I have also called HillBilly so he can get his just in case they do it.

I was really sad to see that Bidville was going to be closed as well.
I had a store there for a while, but hadn't actively used it for a while.

I was encouraged when uBid bought it that there might be some life shuffled into it, but nope - just a write-off for them I guess.
They were truly a nice alternative site!

It was a favorite place to search for fabrics!
(And all you fabric sellers that I bought from - be sure to tell me where you go! LOL!)

RIP Bidville....

Yes I agree, I guess its just something we all knew and had along term relationship with. I do miss them. I use to sell on a site along time ago called Up4sale.com I also miss them, But My history lies with Bidville.
