I am trying to setup Virtuemart 1.1/Joomla 1.5.3 with Google Checkout and a sandbox account (for now). That said, Level 2 integration is not working at all. When I charge/ship the orders in GC, nothing changes in the Virtuemart order list. Moreover, nothing shows up in the Integration Console, and even though the log files are writable, I've yet to see anything get logged.

I have tried with GC set to XML, HTML, and with/without digitally signed carts.

I assume that if this was an SSL issue, GC would still be complaining about that.

We hope to get this site live as soon as possible, so any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue as the OP... Right now I am having to manually set all my google checkout orders to Confirmed.

I got IonCube running. I have my link in GoogleCheckout set to

https://www.catawbacoops.com/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/payment/googlecheckout/callback/responsehandler_gc.php

Which returns something that reads: Restricted access.

Also, like the OP, I am not getting any kind of writing to the log files though they are set to 766.

Ok its all fixed. It took me a while but I finally found out the issue. I kept getting "Restricted access" in the integration console. I didn't have the text "Restricted access" anywhere in my code. I found out that the "Restricted access" message was coming from Joomla. It throws that warning when you try to directly access a joomla or virtuemart page. The issue ended up being backwards compatibility related. I am not sure if you started with an older version of Joomla or virtuemart and did an upgrade and not all files upgraded or if you are using an old configuration.php or virtuemart.cfg.php form another install or if you tried mixing one of those virtemart ecommerce packs in with the install. But it should work now.

Does this error still show up in your integration console? Does google checkout seem to be working fine on your end.

sometimes if you had past errors on your site google checkout will keep trying to process them for a while even after you have fixed the errors on your site. After a while it google will give up and the old errors will quit processing and go away.

If you are testing in sandbox you need to run the htaccess.php file again and enter in your merchant key and id for your sandbox account so it can generate the proper .htaccess and .htpasswd.

Most people do not have to bother with creating the .htaccess and .htpasswd files. Your server is running apache as CGI that is why you have to set theses.

Nope... that didnt work either... My sandbox order is still sitting in Virtuemart as Pending.

Hey, would it be appropriate to delete everything and start over from scratch again? Nothing else seems to be working.

When I tested your cart I used my sandbox google checkout account. Is it possible for you to give me your sandbox google checkout account to try?
