Hello. This a combination of an introduction and an inquiry on best site for my specific needs. If it does not "take off", no worries, I'll repost the second part in the appropriate topic.
I'm responsible for technology acquisition (and hence, disposal) for a large company. In the course of this process, I frequently end up with a dozen or so surplus computers or peripheral items. These items are frequently evaluation items for technology that we elected not to pursue. Items are frequently current technology and like new, in all cases items are in good working order.
I'm having a devil of a time finding an appropriate venue for selling. Ideally, we would be paid by check. EBay is disqualified because they (or PayPal) want to make random deposits to our checking account and have us verify. My Accounts Receivable Dept wants nothing to do with that - they need to do 100% reconciliation of deposits without incurring any extra work. Amazon Marketplace is disqualified because they want to treat us like some company that markets PCs as its main line of business - they need a catalog, images, complete standard configurations, etc. before allowing an offering to be listed. They proved to be completely inflexible in this regard.
I found a site named webidz that is totally seller-friendly, and free. The only problem is that it appears to have no buyer clientele whatsoever - four items that I listed at low to reasonable prices as test cases attracted zero hits over several weeks.
Is their an auction site that has a reasonable amount of traffic for computer equipment on which I could list a small number of PCs and peripherals without jumping through ridiculous hoops first? Thanks in advance. |
