Would you kiss and make up with someone that slit your throat, and told you it was good for you while they were doing it???? Don't be stupid. Not on your life. I'll be bleeding for a while, and feebay is not good at cleaning up the blood. They just drown it out with more blood... BOYCOTT FEEBAY.

extremely doubtful for the same reasons as buffalochick. they've lost nearly all their trust from sellers AND buyers and are now working on losing the trust of the shareholders. meh...i sincerely doubt it. We're divorced and I'll never go back. roflmao

You think Pierre would take the helm back? dunno if even he could save it now...

nkrcs...way to go, spamming a thread that isn't discussing where to list. Evil or Very Mad *scribbles on my 'do not visit list'* you're hijacking the conversation.

May I susggest that you start a thread dedicated to presenting and discussing this site. I believe that you would bot get a better reception and have the space to set up a presentation and Q&A follow up.

I tried to sell on 'bay but, the fees quickly ate up what i made.
since I do not have a high feedback no one wanted to buy anything.
I now use 'bay to research information on things i want to sell and to read the forums, nothing more.

I spent a while looking arround to find sonething i could afford, i mean i'm just starting out in this game. i found a site and now i am promoting it the best i can as frequently as i can.

I would not return to 'bay to sell, i could never generate enough money to make the endever profitable.

How about traffic and buyers?

Really, you can gaurantee they'll never raise rates, implement rediculous procedures, limit brand names offered after being sued, never tinker with feedback, and have real customer service, remove bad sellers, limit bad buyers, etc etc.

I'd be impressed if I knew that wasn't bunk.

Any site with just a quarter of ebays active customer base would quickly develop the same issues and problems and start following the same course, because they'd go public, have stock holders, get corporate officers, get sued by users, etc etc.

I've heard it all before. Maybe one day one of the alternatives will catch fire, but I won't believe it till i see it.

Yeah, here I thought it was a big deal, and I had better not list. No one knew about it and the ones that did didn't care. It was a one-person idea and they were advertising it on eBay as though everyone was on board. A lesson learned for me Very Happy

I boycotted in Feb and removed my store in May.

That is a good enough boycott for me.

same here, but coshiba wants everything in place before he moves, has to feed his family you know, wants sales and traffic there before he makes his move, he's heard it all before. maybe if you spent more time working on your websites instead of here you could wean yourself off ebay. maybe even get a real job to help hold you over, you know like "late seller payments collector" for ebay since you like it there so much. ebay took time to grow and so these others need time and support, not your half hearted efforts and excuses and continued support of the evil empire. quit being a torie and be a yank!

I am ok with Cohib...wish I had the nerve to stay, but I didn't. It was too scary. I am not financially stable enough to handle Paypal holding money for 21 days. It happened twice and that was enough to put the fear in me as it caused me some financial strain with the second time.

I still have financial strain, don't get me wrong, but the strain of the ebay/paypal thing was over the top and too stressful.

So have been listing on other sites (knowing they don't have the buyer volume, but I am hooked on online selling and intend to stick with it), growing my own business locally, looking for a job now that I am well enough, and taking classes for small business owners and business related things.

Patience is a must if you want to break from ebay. And also a desire to learn in order to market your store etc. I happen to be going the route of learning Dreamweaver and the technical stuff so that I can build my own web presence eventually.

You need a long range and a short range plan. Short range may mean getting a job or part time job as you re-build. Which is what I am looking at. Long range is how you are building your web presence.

I doubt there will be another boycott. At this point it is just a periodic exodus and slow dwindle in between.

Ok...back to taking a nap.

I wish I had listened to you guys back in May, and closed up then, because they made me look like some kind of terrible seller, gave me violation after violation and then pulled the plug on me, and to make matters worse they (Paypal) gave a refund to a buyer that bought a working cell phone with lots of extras listed as it (all known issues disclosed and this auction was started at 29.99 with no reserve, free prioritiy insured shipping, went for a whole 51.00, the extras included were worth more then that so she was pretty stupid for sending it back, but I know in my heart she messed up the phone and when I got it back it no longer worked at all, and the AS IS was in title) so I just wish I could have been the one to say goodbye! I will not beg to be reinstated as they want me too, not for doing the right things and getting kicked around for my trouble, I don't need or want the drama!

I am not adding more to my store, just letting it dwindle down. With Ebays new LAWS going into effect come February they will kick off all my items anyways because I accept cashiers checks. I will not waist my time with them but have moved on to other sites!!!! YEAH!!!!! Very Happy
