Well, you are right it is like ebay. Couldn't even figure out how to just email them a simple message. If you find out how it is done, let me know. It sure does look like ebay.

I could not find a direct email either. I sent a message through the solve a problem section. I did find a PO address though:

GB Holdings, Inc
PO Box 2511
Kennesaw, GA 30156

I have used this site and was very pleased. Did you click on any auctions? Very close to ebay format.

Thanks for looking, I am going to send them a letter.

Here goes, the best site I've been able to find so far.

GoZbay
- Familiar in the way it is set up for both buyers and sellers.
- FREE auctions listings and no FVF's, they get paid through advertising.
- List as much as you want and auto-relist as much as you want
- accept 15 different payment methods including paypal and google
- very friendly community in the forums and the owner are active in the forums as well.
- constantly updating the site
- Contact seller through Skype with the click of an icon on the item page.
- post all the pictures you want for FREE
- google friendly
- *lacks buyers at the moment
- post youtube videos in auctions.
- FREE Storefront, they have about 12 templates that are generally the same.
- *Note - You can have all the extras you want. List on the Home Page and your item cycles through the home page every 5 minutes. This is all FREE, bold, highlight, etc.

Only problem with this site is that the buyers are scarce but the site is brand new, most users are sellers right now.

*NOTE: This site WON second place in a national ecommerce contest, there mission is, without hiding it, to smack ebay in the face. That was said on the News. LOL. I hope they can, otherwise they will go down in history as the biggest losers on earth for talking smack on national television and not backing it up.

Anyway, check this site out, it has some really cool features. I plan on making it the only auction site I use. Well I might use ebid.net too.

PostPosted: Thu Aug 28, 2008 11:12 am   Post subject:  Re: large list of other auction sites #308  Back to top

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions for the best Ebay alternatives for auction style listings for things like antiques, pottery, glass, vintage collectibles? I have been scoping out some of the other sites but so many of them seem to be geared toward set prices rather than auctions. I could accept that if need be but none of them seem to be very big in the areas I sell in. Most seem to be for newer or new items or else very specific i.e. books, cds, etc. I guess I'm just dreaming that something better for me will come up because I'm done with Ebay once Oct gets here. The other thing I noticed is that I can't seem to find prices for things that sold. It's one thing to see lots of stuff listed but that doesn't tell me how things are actually selling (if at all). Any help is appreciated. I've loved selling for 9 years now and, even though I could use a little break, I know I'd miss doing this because I love collecting and need to support my "habit" by selling. I also have met so many nice people. I'm nostalgic for the "old" days of Ebay Sad

Hello Huskylvr May I suggest a new angle to feed your "Habit" In the absence of ebay there really are not a large auction replacement for you to venture into. I would suggest if you have not already done so that you put your auction listing on to a spread sheet for bulk uploading purposes. Then use this site and explore those sites that are free and helpful and use the bulk upload feature to get your items on as many sites as possible. This will increase your opportunity for sales and fix your habit. We at www.bestbay4you.com would be happy to assist with any tech questions you may have!

Just joined a new auction site http://kooloffer.com

No Listing Fee
No Ending Fee
Fee required for Bold, Featuring and Buy Now

Yesterday the site had only 24 members.

Currently you have to do a separate listing for your store and for auction but that should be corrected soon. Don't know how long this will last, but at sign up I got $25 credit towards enhancement fees. Store templates available.

Hey Gryph

Thanks for the plug on Here ..I just wanted To let You know that Now you can list in Both stores and in the auction format at the same tome without having to list separate and we have done something pretty unique ..we have added a radio link at the top of the page so you can listen to some music while you browse or Post listings

Just click the link and it opens a player in a New window and we have about 24 stations you can choose from right now from Rock to 70s to salsa..and country ..

Some of the stations are not on air all of the time but some are on air all the time and we thought its pretty KOOL to have something that lets you listen to some great streaming Music while you browse, Buy and or List

Also the 25.00 credit toward enhancement fees will now be a preferment fixture...Id also Like to add we have a VERY special auction listed Now ..Its for the ORIGINAL OJ Simpson Book..Now of course we don't agree with the whole OJ Simpson Thing at all , But we are not going to end the auction or suspend the user because we just don't believe in that ..Its your Business what you list and after all before eBay pulled the listings for the ORIGINAL oJ Simpson Book of which there are only 106 in the WORLD ..One did get Bid up to over a MILLION DOLLARS for ONE COPY ..and some others sold for 65,000 and 222,000 so We cant see Pulling That auction even though we don't support OJ Simpson..Its really none of our Business what you sell on The Site ..WITHIN REASON Of course ...No body parts Please...LOL..so Kooloffer.com is your SAFE , and KOOL Auction site as always ....Anyway Thanks again Gryph and see you on The site
