It was like ghost town when I went in there, I was the only person! It's just another out-of-the-box niche site with monthly store fees, option fees, and FVF fees too.. and only 5-600 items. How is it great? Good luck site owner.

Not only that, but the name is horrid. Millbid sounds much nicer.

If you judged the number of people online by the Forum section, that is only for the forum, not the website.

The site has only been up for two months, yes the word has to get out, it doesn't happen over night.

There are NO FEES for anything. The registered users receive a $500 credit, no one has been charged anything, you can ask the users. The credit get reissued when the ballance gets low.

I like the name MillBid. I'm looking for other ideas as well.

I have placed banners on Military Trader (now up), wehrmacht-awards (should be up this week), and several other big sites. This it to create more buzz and more buyers.

Hm, but still, 600 items in two months is pretty bad. And you're wrong, it can happen overnight. Look at Bonanzle. Also less than 2 months but spreading like wildfire. It doesn't take long for a great site to take off. Else, you can keep waiting, and waiting..

Doesn't matter how free you make it, already plenty of freebies out there. Does Craigslist sound familiar? However just keep pushing with advertising and there is always a chance, only because this is a niche site, but unfortunately a niche that probably not many care for.

Just updated the list today for the first time in over a year. 25/62 sites were removed....almost half of them.

I must say, fippid is quite a nice site, very dynamic and clean. It's been open for 2 years now. But, it's like a ghost town in there. That just goes to show how difficult it is to succeed in this biz.

Golsn.com is 100% free unless you want to upgrade and you can't mention other sites, but I just give my number and say I have references, and only 1 photo is free and 500 letters, but I have sold more there then anywhere else! This is more for small sellers that like face to face although I have shipped a few! At least they don't flag like CL's and it is quite large! I think it is US only???
